xBhp PowerTrip Sydney to Perth and Back | Exclusive Premiere at MotoVilla

Travelling is something that has been an integral part of xBhp right from the beginning. Motorcycles have been the foundation, but travelling has been the brick and mortar of the house that xBhp is today. We have also made it a point to share all the tales from our travels with the xBhp community. One such tale was the 12,000 km roadtrip we did in 2024… xBhp PowerTrip | Sydney to Perth and back.

The precursor to this roadtrip was PowerTrip360. In 2017, we took a Kawasaki Ninja H2 and a Ducati 1299 Panigale around Australia. It was one of our most ambitious projects, and the content that came out of it lived up to that. So it was a no-brainer that we’d attempt it, or something like it, again.

In 2024, we got planning again. We decided that we’d circumnavigate Australia, and as it was before, ride two of the most powerful motorcycles that are available today. The first one was a repeat of the previous roadtrip, the Kawasaki Ninja H2. The second one was the Aprilia Tuono V4. And as is the case with almost all of our roadtrips, both of our motorcycles were set to be powered by Castrol POWER1 ULTIMATE.

The trip lived up to all of our expectations, and out of it came, in addition to the regular content, a brilliant 30-minute documentary that chronicled this journey of ours. So we held an exclusive invite-based screening at MotoVilla with some of our biker buddies. In the following pages, we will tell you more about the trip and the screening as well.

So, in 2024, the preparation began. Sundeep Gajjar and Dr Manan Chaturvedi from the xBhp Core Team were to take up this 12,000 km ride. Though we have had a lot of experience riding in Australia, it still needs a lot of preparation, physical and mental, to traverse one of the most isolated countries/continents on planet Earth.

We also needed to prepare our motorcycles for this roadtrip. First, we needed a set of tyres that could not only handle long distances but also the power transmitted from the engines of our two motorcycles. Both the Ninja H2 and the Tuono V4 Factory put out enough torque to shred any tyre that is not up to the task. So we went with Vredestein tyres for both of our motorcycles.

Then came the most important aspect: keeping our engines protected. We went with Castrol POWER1 ULTIMATE as it is the only engine oil we have had tons of experience with. But we are thankful to the Almighty for the successful conclusion of xBhp PowerTrip Sydney to Perth and Back. The 12,000 km offered a lot, almost an overwhelming amount of sensory stimulation. As isolated as it is, Australia also has to offer some of the best sights around the world.

It was the near-overload of senses that made us decide that there is more that could come out of this roadtrip than just photos and videos. So we got to work, sifting through gigabytes of data and hours of footage to make a documentary of sorts chronicling this roadtrip of ours. The result was more than a bit satisfactory, so we decided to share this joy with some of our biker buddies as well.

So, after a special invite, 25 riders were selected and invited to the MotoVilla for the special screening of this documentary.
