Hi all, first a short intro about myself - I am a recent (and proud ) owner of Honda Twister in Bangalore.Bought it second hand, Nov 2010 model. This is my first post, though I am not so new to this site. Thanks everyone for sharing so much useful info here, which has helped me to make the decision to purchase this bike.

I just wanted to share my experience on point 7 by rameshap - yesterday my bike went to reserve mode and immediately i started experiencing some problem with pickup -like the bike is not responding to throttle and engine 'missing' is there. I panicked and went to a workshop (I am a noob biker) expecting some engine repair. The guy listened to the bike sound for sometime, then simply opened the seat cover and removed the cleaning cloth I kept there, which was blocking the air pipe. I felt like a fool, really ! It was just a coincidence that the bike went to reserve mode and the cloth somehow moved and blocked the air pipe.

Shows how important small things can be...!

Hi, welcome to the forum. That pipe is connected to air filter suction.many people often arrive at service station with something or other stuck in that pipe like cloth, raincoat etc.this is becoming common habit now a days.in my case the bike document papers tied to rubber strap under the seat somehow came out loose and blocked the hole.....luckily i discovered it myself & saved a trip to service station. by the way you can keep the cleaning cloth in the hole near side flaring on both sides....see the picture under my name.

Thanks Sachin. Yes, I have seen one Twister today which keeps the cloth there. Will follow that method :-)

Exclamation Advice :)

Hey ya all.. hav been inactive for a while now.. was quite busy.. anyway i bought a second Twister (got a second hand one , with 1300kms on the ODO ) .. was impressed with the mileage (80+) the first one gave so got another for my brother.
Now i need some help in deciding which Remote Security to add.. ROOTS ? MINDA ? or XENOS ?

If you hav pics of the ones you hav installed could you pls post it and also diffrences.. XENOS seems cheapest at just under 1k but to me seems all hav similar feature.. but Remote Start/Stop is a must
