Man, I still am not getting you!!!!

Firstly HID's are not usually meant to run on a multi-reflector setup, its intended to work with projector lens setups actually.

Now whats this about fiber? and fairngs??

Yes, HID's are definitely NOT meant for reflectors setup. They will definitely blind people ahead of you.

I think he meant that putting a dual projector lens setup in the R15 by removing the reflectors. I haven't seen that happen yet. I'm sure it would cost alot though.

You're forgetting the current consumption rating here!

The HIDs need really high voltages to ignite the gas, which's satisfied by the power-up transformers. These transformers in turn make up for the lack of supply voltage by sucking in more current than usual..and the battery is designed to provide only 3.5amps of power.

On a different note, has anyone noticed the engine getting extremely hot upon usage of "Power" fuel?? :|
My engine's getting extremely hot after i filled in with 8lts of Power, i still have like 4 lts left in the tank. The worst part is, radiator fan also doesn't kick in, but the gearbox, exhaust setup and everything else heat up like shit! I wouldn't mind the engine and silencer heating normally, but the gearbox??? Doesn't this mean the engine got hot enough for the heat to trickle down to the gearbox inspite of the engine oil present inside?? And if this is the case.. why didn't the fan kick in?? :|

The gearbox never got so hot before even after a 100kms trip..but it gets extremely hot even after a 10kms trip now.

Hid requires a high starting current in the range of about 10 A , where ll u get that ?

Then later it requires just 35w which in a np to supply , but mind u the whole bike runs on dc.
FI to ecu to spark plug ... everything , so if the current is drawn in the lights oly , the other electricals would not get sufficient power.

Not just in the starting santa, look at my above post.. it needs a continuous supply of hicgh current. For example, a Skoda Laura's HID needs current in the range of almost 20amps continuously.. me checked it with a multimeter

I think the Laura has a much higher spec HID. I'm guessing 55/60 W setup. Plus its a car.

Bike HID setups require much lesser. You need a minimum of 9ah for most 35W HID (taking startup in consideration) setups. I dont know how much the R15 has.

I also noticed the same thing, but thought that its normal. I use speed normally, and have been since the start. Have you tried normal petrol and seen any difference? I will shift to normal fuel this time. The gear box and the engine are hot to the point that you can only touch it for couple of seconds.

***ATTENTION****

Check if you have enough Collant in the reservior by removing the right side panel. If the collant level is low then obviously the engine goes super HOT, followed by GEAR Box.

watch out!

If my memory is rite I remember reading somewhere in the manul to check the coolant level once every 1000kms.
