Second largest selling in what?Performance segment?

R-1-5 sells around 3000-4000 units per month.Yamaha sold 14300 units last month of the total 6lakh units(Only Motorcycles) sold last month.
Yes, MG its the 150 cc class. heard R15 has pushed the overall sales of Yamaha Motorcycle and its hard to doubt the news.

i came to know they were expecting to sell over 20,000units of the R 15 before end of 2008 but the way they are going..they are already ahead of thier target.

and on the same basis when quested about the sales of FZ16 the reply was a confident 30000units by the end of 2008...
let se if FZ can out perform in sales like the R15

I know ..only 3 months and 30000units..that makes n average of 10000units per month across the country..no impossible though but difficult for sure.

this is the link below that gives info on the sales expectations from Yamaha.

@jawed ur bike rocks man seriously yamaha should come up with the white option but until then urs is unique.....great job and great passion

@insane: while more power is a personal choice i find that even on half decent roads i am continually hitting the rev limiter in teh first 3 gears and at 70++ in 3rd i cant help but think that i need a thousand revs more becoz the chassis is underpowered this frame seems capable of taking a lot more abuse .. i am no automobile engineer or chassis specialist but the bike is too good for just 17 ps and sacrificing 5 ps for 10 kpl is bull***t...
more is never enough and if really available the upgrade must be made optional.. i would definitely go for it so would many reading this post rite now!!

                                motul 3000 4T plus + 1 5 ride report.

Got my oil filter changed (finally they got some stock) and filled up with a litre of 4T plus. Initial response was the smoothness in lower revs.

Now just came back from Hosur (toto about 75 Km) and subjected the vehicle to all revs. Bike felt a bit harsh in the beginning while revving but then smoothened down completely. Feels more smooth but the most obvious thing was that it was running cooler than before. Also as the oil is real thin it gives better power response at lower revs as the engine climbs quickly towards the powerband.

Yamalube is decent so ppl running on showroom oil should feel a difference only in lower revs. The main difference though is gearbox of the unit construction unit feels happier with it and my harsh gears (relatively) are smooth again.

Overall decent intermediate mineral before shifting to fully synthetic at 5K km.

One question .. where can I buy some flushing oil ?
