I believe 50% guys ride the way i do, with her being in the 8-10k rpm range(even crusing 115@8k), then why only me facing this prob?Originally posted by jd666 View PostThe original design of the clutch housing had 4 rivets in it. They have increased the number of rivets to 6,( as per the engineer), but still the issue persists. The dilemma is that if the clutch is giving way under 17bhp and full rpm riding, then what can one expect when the engine gets the performance kit? replacements every 4000 kms??
The engineers are not ready to make it a service item also, you know, replace every 10,000 kms or so, because no one has heard of clutch drum replacement at regular intervals in a bike. So its fit until failure or fault. My gripe is that it affects the refinement, sound and performance of the bike.
@jd666-- while cold there is no sound difference, its only when engine is hot

^^ even i ride the way you do. shifting at 8k rpm. But this sound has been observed in new bikes even!!! at the dealership!
Also its the reverse for me, when cold the sound is more noticeable, and then it goes down slightly when the engine has warmed up.

There are few 15s with close to 3-4k done on track. They still dont loose in performance front. But yet, the engine is harsh and more vibrations are present. But dont worry about that. You are riding an 15. But i got the clutch bell reconditioned once. It did make a lot of difference.

My bike has run close to 10 k Km.Got the oil filter replaced and put it castrol power1. It is smooth. It was smooth earlier tooOriginally posted by jd666 View Post^^ did you get the clutch bell dismantled? and then re assembled?? or replaced?? when you say reconditioned?
. Clutch bell reconditioning made a lot of difference. Vibrations and noise got reduced.During idling in neautral, if there is a difference in vibration during declutching, then it could be the clutch bell. Get tappets checked too.

Hi guys...
Recently i have been having problems with the front wheel. from the moment i start the bike, i feel the front wheel wobbles and makes a squeaky noise.. i have not crashed anytime or ridden over a pit at high speeds but is this happening because of any bent in the wheel or any issues with the fork. Please advise.

^Check the air pressure ;-)
@All - A Small piece of advise from my end to all the R15 owners. If its the old R15 before the racing colours, make sure to remove the Horn mounted in the radiator to some other place. In case of a spill on the left side, you are bound to break the radiator
