My motorcycle has done approx 6000+kms,
does the sound change when you press the clutch? as far as i remember it does on all motorcycles but as per a local mech it has something to do with clutch housing, true?
i go down the 'box hard with throttle blips and the bike either is pottering at 3000rpm or she is being revved just shy of the red mark,

Wrong slack and improper lube and wrong air pressures will screw ur chain life

I have been using Mahindra Coolant manufactured for the SCORPIO on my R15. Runs fine!!!Originally posted by jigar2speed View PostAny advice on Coolant, i am noob in that department. I am going to purchase a coolant for my bike and i don't know what are the things that i should keep a note of...Democracy is when 2 wolves and a sheep meet to decide who is for dinner. That is probably very early. It is not just about the sound. Pls check your front sprocket wear out and how much your chain has stretched.Originally posted by pulsar_flame View PostMay i know how much km will the r15 chain will come ? becuase my chain is worn out. think becuase i am getting the chain sound and i did all the lube and cleaning also but it still presist and my bike has done 9200 kms ! so is it time to change the chain with the sproket or something elese ? pls do help
That is approximately when the clutch bell bush in the R15 is giving up in most of our bikes. But according to the Yamaha guys that is nothing to worry except for the sound and some added vibes.Originally posted by sheelpriye View PostMy motorcycle has done approx 6000+kms,

True, I think the chain can sustain 25K KMs easily though I am awaiting a replacement at 21K. My chain was over tightened thrice. I have run the bike for a long time on low tyre pressure.Originally posted by santoosh View Post25k and will run even more for sure.

Any coolant would do. You can even walk down to your nearest petrol pump, buy a 500 ml coolant bottle and use it. But in order to reduce the mess, use a ready to use coolant instead of the ones that need water added.Originally posted by jigar2speed View PostAny advice on Coolant, i am noob in that department. Sprocket should last easily for 25K kms, mine lasted for about 18k KMs with a LOT and trust me a LOT of abuse!Originally posted by pulsar_flame View PostMay i know how much km will the r15 chain will come ? becuase my chain is worn out. think becuase i am getting the chain sound and i did all the lube and cleaning also but it still presist and my bike has done 9200 kms ! so is it time to change the chain with the sproket or something elese ? pls do help

This is what we all expect from you santaa! low cost cheap alternatives that are *almost* AS good as any!
Check if you have messed up your rear disk pad AND the plate.... Rear disc brakes usually lack the bite that the front ones would have for obvious safety reasons!Originally posted by Priyatam View PostIs there any setting to improve rear breaking
efficiency? My rear brakes are almost useless, I'm using the front disc to halt the bike. Is it the time to change rear disk pads? Please help.Last edited by satyenpoojary; 12-11-2009, 01:12 PM.Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more
