What is Oil Filter?
Dear Geeks,
What is the function of Oil Filter?
Where is it Located in Bike?
After how many Kms we have to change oil filter.
I don't remember that I ever changed oil filter of previous bike(Gladiator 125cc)
Thanks in AdvanceLast edited by wildest; 04-08-2011, 04:30 PM.Facebook Profile Link

Thanks so much for your views. I am basically attracted by second point.Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostGo for the white LE-it is the most classy IMO.
If you wanna show off to your college chicks, get yellow or red.
If you like wearing riding gear all the time, get blue.
If you wanna take it to office, get black.
Is there any other color left?
It means, I should go for RED.

Buddy, You confused me the MOST!!!Originally posted by mibin007 View PostI was impressed with red and I took red. Now I feel that I should have taken black. Blue was good with old side fairing graphics. I do not like the new design. I had seen a white limited edition with blue muffler end cap and blue handle end caps and all and it was stunning. I dont know if those are still available. Hope I havnt confused you more
Anyways, I liked how you answered. But my question is still unsolved.

1. Get the cone set greasedOriginally posted by HotAntivirus View PostGuy, I rode a new R15 and I found it alot smoother than my R15(Ofcourse
) Its very smooth while going through potholes, speedbreakers where as my R15 is very harsh and gives shocks over potholes.. .I am very near to 10k KMs and I wanted to know what all should I get done during my next serivce to make my ride good as new..
Thanks
2. Tighten steering stem nut bolt
3. Replace fork oil seals if cracked
1. is a laborious activity, some mechanics may refuse to do it, so keep aside time for it. Check labor rates at SVC.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Hello there,Originally posted by xXhellrulerXx View PostSo, even u aren't able to wait any longer for the new version? Anyways I lykd d white a lot at d start, and even got it booked. But now I m considering the black as it Luks quite royal and dust particles r not visible on it. At d end of the day u have to see which coulour u hv a affinity for and just go ahead and take it.
Now, I can't wait any longer for New Version. I have waited enough, there must be going something weird or they are not planning to launch within more few months or years.(I am really sorry, If anybody hurted.
)
I have just deposited some cash for booking in my area. I too thought for white one, but svc told me that they don't have any white fairings or parts for that bike in the case if I need to replace them. It means, It would be difficult for me to have changed my bikes fairing in the case of crash.(Hope, This would never ever happen to me

)
Finally, I decided to stay with RED.Last edited by wildest; 04-08-2011, 04:50 PM.Facebook Profile Link

The oil filter works to trap foreign particles and debris introduced into the oil by normal riding. It is located at the right side beside the knob from where you pour engine oil.Here is a DIY thread on how to replace the oil filter of R15... LE is classy and gets LOADS of attention, even from other r15's on the road. I've even had 1 guy approach me at a red light to buy my ride for the price I bought it originally, just coz LE isn't as easily available as the other colours.Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostGo for the white LE-it is the most classy IMO.

But it does come with it's share of problems, all coloured parts are costlier than the other colours, like:
headlight cowling, LE:750, normal:380
side inner fairing, LE: 750, normel: 350
exhaust shield, LE: 450, normal: 250
Tank, Difference of 2k between LE and normal
So it's not just the extra 2k that you're giving for the LE colours, it'll be more like an ongoing investment. Plus it takes more time to get fiber parts for LE than for normal colours.
If you still think standing apart from the crowd with the pearl white colour is worth the extra cost, go ahead with the white, like I did.

No dude... i dnt think dat is happenin, i already got it cross checked. It is just a flying rumour.. sadly... so anyways.. take the r15 if u got to nw... :P one reason why it wont happen on 17th is dat, if it had to happen yamaha would shut down the current model bookings or production.. But more r15s come to the showrrom everyday.. due to which it is unlikely to happen soon.Originally posted by kotty4u View PostMe too on the same track bro
