Well I have few friends who use main stand but havent heard anything like this from them. Where is Sarvajit I think he will be the best to answer this.Originally posted by painreloaded View PostGot the sixth free service done today at 6635kms. Got the main stand for the bike. The cost was Rs. 780 for stand and Rs. 50 for fitting..
I want to know from main stand users that is there any khat sound, the sound of the main stand hitting the mono link from the bike when we pull the bike from main stand..???
next time just tell them to open the spark plug and clean, though for first 10k kms I dont think it is required. but if you think there is a problem you can always be strict with them and tell them to show you the spark plug and get it cleaned and fixed againOriginally posted by painreloaded View PostOne more thing, the svc guys never cleaned my spark plug during 1yr..today I told them to clean it to which they said it may be fine and does not need cleaning unless the bike is stopping or there is any other problem...they hinted mein that it is a tedious task to remove the fairings to open th plug...Is other svc stations doing the same???anyone plz help on this...

38b1 R15 new!
Guys mine is a new R15 around 1100kms on the odo! When my bike is ripped to around 7k-8k rpm and the engine becomes very hot, the bike becomes a bit rough and not the usual smooth that it was! Its like the whole bike makes a vibrating sound , a bit of a harsher tone than the usual! Is this normal? Or is there a problem?

R15 tires
I bought a new R15 which is not even a month old. my brother met with an accident on sunday not sure if you can even call it an accident. he took bike for spin with his friend and they skid they aernt sure if was oil or something else. but he says he just lost control at speed of 70kmph. he has bruises on his hands n feet other than that he was lucky cuz are minor injuries the pillion wasnt hurt too much either. But what is shocking is when i went to assess damage and take bike to the workshop there is like a 5 inch cut on rear tire it goes all way from the tire wall to the tread almost half the tire is cut we could easily pull it apart n look inside tire without much effort. so now as we gotta replace the tires i need help with deciding which one to put on. I sure in hell wont trust MRF again after looking at the tire. So ive asked around and found out there r sizes of 120 80-17 and 130 70-17 available from pirelli they also have the 100 80-17 but isnt available at the moment which would b same size of factory fitted tire. What tires would u suggest. Please help.

Buddy, investigate in to the cause of the accident first rather than blaming the tyres. Looking at your explanation, the accident seems to have had a greater damage to the tyres which would have happened to any brand of tyre you might have used made of rubber.Originally posted by timebandit View PostI bought a new R15 which is not even a month old. my brother met with an accident on sunday not sure if you can even call it an accident. he took bike for spin with his friend and they skid they aernt sure if was oil or something else. but he says he just lost control at speed of 70kmph. he has bruises on his hands n feet other than that he was lucky cuz are minor injuries the pillion wasnt hurt too much either. The stock MRF types, although thin they may look, are among the best gripping ones made of soft compound rubber. I ride an R15 and have never been so confident turning even in 3 digit speeds (on highways though).
On a different note: These soft compund tyres are meant for the tarmac and not recommended for off roading. Thanks,

Alright brother first tell me if your tyre has been cut badly, what makes you think that it has happened on its own. Something on the road would have hit the tyre which of course the rider failed to see..... the tyre went on top of it, it got busted, and hence the rider fell down..... whats the fault in the tyre now???? a tyre wont cut on its own rightOriginally posted by timebandit View PostBut what is shocking is when i went to assess damage and take bike to the workshop there is like a 5 inch cut on rear tire it goes all way from the tire wall to the tread almost half the tire is cut we could easily pull it apart n look inside tire without much effort. so now as we gotta replace the tires i need help with deciding which one to put on. I got my rear tyre changed at 19k kms, using the front one still stock and come and ride with me, road or no road it doesnt matter. I take the bike where I want to... but I also take care of it when I am back after touring. IMO MRF stock tyres are the best for this bike

Shivanshu, bro are you sure about this ? I have a 38b1 and rom at start is 1600 then comes down to 1300 and i know atleast 2 other people with 38b1 and it behaves similarly for them. Please clarify.Originally posted by Shivanshu View Post1. no the rpm should always increase in 38B1, the cold start rpm may be 1100rpm bt after the engine warms up it should be between 1300-1500rpm
2. do your home work and go through the manual, everything is written there.
3. by liquid if you mean slime, then the answer is NO. if you talking about any other liquid then I dont know
Yeah it is the Clutch Bell sound only which is quite common, how many kms on ODOsigpic
