  • Parts Price List

    Hi Guys!

Here is something useful for all members. I have prepared a list of select parts of the R15, with their respective part numbers & prices.
You can download the file here: Yamaha YZF-R15 - Select Parts Price List.pdf

This list is for parts which are common for all series (20P1, 20P2,38B1, 38B2) of the bike.
I trust you will find this useful, & would recommend you to save this file on your PCs for ready reference.

I want to thank digislayer for the link to his blog (which has the detailed parts & price list) which I referred to, and slowly & steadily came up with this list.
Do let me know if there is any important part that I have missed out in this list, & I shall include that & re-post.

PS: I have not included prices of body parts, as the prices vary for different colours (Initial, Racing & LE).

    My views on the YZF-R15 V2.0: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/198...tml#post699240

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

It's just that clearances get messed up when there's sudden change in forces. Also, the rear tire looses its surface at one spot, making the "tire's circle" imbalanced, when it gets locked and rubs against the tar. It takes a little while for the rear tire to even out again, and the clearances to get reset again. It's normal, keep riding it the way you do, and things will get reset in a while.
Thanx Digi, I think the problem is going away, as today I rode for around 100kms in city and i felt alright, I mean though I was conscious but I didnt feel that there was anything wrong with the bike

          You're welcome bro!

As discussed on this thread earlier, the prices of parts like the oil filter, brake pads, chain, sprockets, etc have been slashed. Check with the Area Office in Delhi for the spares at revised prices. If we get it at revised prices down south, then you should get it too (Yamaha HO is just around).
All the parts that I have included in the pdf file are common parts for all Yamaha YZF R15s sold so far in India.

btw, it is interesting to note that the prices have been reduced partly due to changes in vendor/ quality, & partly due to unclear reasons (vendors are same, so maybe Yamaha were overcharging us earlier).
=> Parts like the brake pads, oil filter continue to be from the same vendor/ are still imported, so the drop in price is mystifying.
=> Parts like the chain are now being sourced from ROLON instead of the earlier DID, so the price drop is digestible.

No. The FTA was inked just 10 days ago, while the prices have been slashed more than 6 months ago (The new spares might not yet be available across the country though, as I believe SVCs have hoarded up on the old, higher priced stock).
Also, the FTA has not yet come into force, as the Japan Senate is yet to approve it, & this will take a few months I believe.

                    The list looks good.
Are you going with normal spark plugs?
& whats with replacing the front petal discs? Any braking issues with it?

                      Great Bro!
BTW - Did you feel any pain on ur palm/hands while driving.
i am new to R15 (driving for last 10 days), i am feeling pain on my palm, however no back pain till now. and sometimes after around 30mins continuous driving i feel like my hands are getting numb slowly.
is there any solution to these problems?

Why replacing the beautiful disc set-up? Flush out the oil too, though my oil still appears golden, but I feel my braking has been compromised as the viscosity is lost.

I am sick of the cone-set, my handle is a wee bit tighter than other 15's but it still makes tak-tak noise over brick-laden roads. No, the handle isn't loose despite hard braking.

I too would get my sprockets flipped this time around. (2 years approx 14K )

                          • @tibby did you recently buy the rear breakpads ? can you post a few pics . I saw the new break pads at yamaha SS they are locally made nissin break pads .

Check the pic the bottom break pad is the Indian one the above one is from Indonesia .i Have used the Indian ones and they don't even last for 4k kms.The Indonesian ones last 10k kms easily ( rear break pads ) .

Also the oil filters , the cheap ones from yamaha SS just tear off . The OE ones which use to come before are better . I got the Original oil filters from my trip to thailand . Its pricey but have a few if anyone wants to buy it .

I am currently using Honda break pads made by Hamp honda they are good costs 600 rs for the rear and they work well. I have a couple of sets with me if any one wants to see / pick them up.

                              Locally made Nissin?

I am interested in front pads, I don't need the rear ones. Though I have one in stock, but request everyone to update if, the front pads start disappearing again.

printed code (not embossed) being the only difference.
So it seems like the lower priced pads are a mix of imported ones (with a printed code) & locally made ones (with an embossed code).

The oil-filter carton box had the part number & price mentioned (INR), & once opened, there was another small carton inside which had the oil-filter.
                                just tear off
Btw, the ones costing INR 430 are available in the market as well. Its funny that some dealers have the old priced ones, & some have the new priced ones here!
