Maintaining it wit frequent teflon coating and waxing our babe by us wit good stuff makes bike sparkling! the main thing is teflon coating!!!! and beware do not use dusted cloth or hard and waste cloth for cleaning...always use good, soft and new cloth! after all its for our babe! so dont mind spending 10rs for new cloths! And if the bike is full of dust and muddy try to clean it up wit water instead of wiping it wit dry cloth!. Guess you know what all i said but jus took some interest to remind you! pingggg!!!! Happy ridin!!!!! proud to a R15 owner!!!!!!

      Thanx 4 the reply Buddy....
I have had done the teflon coatin twice , 1 in each servicin....
but somewhere in this forum...i went through some posts where it was mentioned that teflon coatin is not sooo reliable....if nt teflon then wat,,..is the question.....

Btw, got the bike back from Service. The front has become nice and crisp now, no wallowing in potholes or anything, and after the tappet setting, the engine is pulling cleanly to 9000+ rpm... The thrill is back!!

          • Hey guys just got back after the Trivandrum Road Saftey awareness campaign . My baby performed well , and the roads were great .
On a negative note , one of my headlights stoped working .
First the low beam wouldnt come on , but both worked in high beam ,
Then only the high beam light would work , any idea what the problem could be
havent taken it to svc yet . Would i have to change the bulb or could it be an electricals fault .

Is there anyway to adjust the bite of rear disc brake? I mean if its pressed on to the disc (slightly) even when not in applied state can that be adjusted?
yes it can be. You would need to bleed the hydraulic oil, and refill fresh one. A fresh setting will be the best setting, but before that see if you can get some adjustment on the lever.

It could be a faulty actuator or master cylinder as well, but even that would require replacement of the hydraulic fluid.

Well im not sure about warranty issue dude!!! but i know the cost!!! it is about 4000rs for single side!!! but you can get both for 7000rs! and one more issue! it will surely drain ya battery as ya bike grows older wit it!!!! well if you need the style for sure you can fit Lens and angel eye alone wit ya normal bulb itself! or fitting only angel eye ring will obviously work safely!!!! going to HID is somethin you gonna hurt ya bike in future!!! and during night time ridin wit your HIDs on you will feel the lack of performance in ya bike sinse the HIDs will steal the battery power more and gives less chance for the engine to take power for its working!!!! so think of putting HID! but i recommend you for angel eye rings alone!!!!!!!!! YES YAMAHA!!!!! Happy ridin!!!!!

                      • Suggestion please

                        Hi,
I had gone to Orion service center in Bang for changing the set of locks and getting a security system. They promised to give the bike by evening. But when i went to get the bike, they say that they dont have the lock set with them and it would take another week to get the stock. Adding to that , they fixed a security system that was defective( There is no sound ). I was kind of in a hurry to get back home and hence i paid the bill in advance. I dint know that Yamaha doesn't recommend use of security system and battery warrenty will be voided if I use it. When I checked the vehicle I found that the security system was defective and I asked them to pay the money back. They were refusing to pay me back. And then there were heated arguments and finally they agreed to pay back money excluding vat and labour charge. Then I had complained to Yamaha head office and they got back to me promising that I ll get my money back. Now the service centre guy was trying to convince me that VAT tax cannot be given back. Now, please suggest if I should call up the head office again and push it or should i just settle with the current situation(considering that I ll need to go and see their face again).
