Rear Disk Pad - Rs 690

Yamaha Lube SS - Rs 415
Coolant Top up - Rs 60
Rear Disk Pad Servicing - Rs 200

I had delayed in giving the bike for servicing by 10 days os these guys considered Todays service as teh 6th one instead of 5th . I was totally Pissed of with that as they were so worried about the dates

    • Okay.....
Here is wat happened last nite.....I live in chennai....I was returnin 4m wrk at abt 10 at nite...passed a toll booth with a city volvo bus on the extreme right of the road n me on the extreme left of the road.....
I was ridin at abt 50 kmph when out of nowhere an innova, trying to overtake the volvo 4m the left side started cuttin n as a result came very close to me... damn it...the bloody A**hole driver dint even bother watchin to his left n as a result the left RVM of innova got stuck to my bike's Right side RVM... the bike started wobblin like hell ...the leftover space on my left side was full of stones n sand...,so cudnt cut left .....
I tried to balance my badly wobbling bike as much as I cud .....Then luckily, after wobblin 4 abt 10 to 15 mts, found some space on my left hand side, cut my bike n pulled over.....
god is there guys n he saved me...
All that time the driver had a person sittin on his LHS who was busy watchin my bike wobble badly....bloody idiot...
The innova driver also pulled over n started apologisin....felt like breakin the hell out of him.....After some heated up discussion n public gatherin, I realised abt my bike...ran back to see wat damages it had incurred....
luckily there was only a tiny scratch on the sticker on the right fairing...
Very lucky, both my bike n me... but especially me...

It was my 1st experience n i want it to be my last....

thanku GOD, 4 savin my life....

      • Tomorrow my 'Pony' (Thats what I call the r15) is due for her second service, I ve clocked 1100 kms exactly! Wondering if I should switch to Agip synthetico fully synth or stick with YAMALUBE Semi Synth!

I have Agip FS runniong in the FZ and there is a world of diffrence in the way the bike behaves after the change. It feels butter smooth!

The ABS you're talking about, is it mechanical ABS or electronic? If mechanical then sorry, I'm not interested as I've tried a bike equiped with that thing and it just wouldn't stop, the disc brakes were acting like drums. I guess I'm used to r15's braking and this was a pulsar, but then also how bad can the pulsar's stock braking be?

I'm under the impression that the mechanical ABS which is fitted on the caliper of the disc just lessens the braking of the bike so the disc doesn't lock up simply coz the brakes aren't any good.

If you're talking about an electronic ABS, like the one found in fireblades then I'm all ears and would definitely want to get it on my bike.
i am talking about mechnical one i use it in my front disk and it work properly not like drum break

Once i came home after 7-8 km ride, i checked again and found the freeness to be reduced. Also when i touched the rear brake disc it was extremely hot and i almost burned my finger..it was hot enough to slowly evaporate if theres a drop of water on it. I use front brakes most (may be 70:30) ratio. Is it normal for rear disc to get that hot? or is it coz pads touching the disc more than necessary even when brakes are not applied
Disk pads seems to be too tight to disk .. it seems they rubbing the disk plate slightly without applying the brakes also .. get it corrected

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Since there is a big difference in fuel tank shape of R125 and R15..

                          • Guys, My ride has completed 7k km, There is still decent amount of tread on my tyres but I feel very risky on high speeds, The rear tyre skids alot and sometimes front too. . I've stopped speeding coz I might land up tasting the dust someday, What may be the problem? I apply 70-30% brakes.(Front, Rear)
Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.
