    • ^^ kindly do not post your number in a public forum. post reported.

And if you wanna sell your bike, you can take some pics of it, and post it in the classifieds. expect about 15-20% depreciation

Like jd666 rightly said, expect a depreciation of 15-20%.. You should get anything between Rs. 85,000/- to Rs. 97,000/- depending on your luck.

By the way, just wanted to know why ur selling that wonderful machine of yours.. Problems with it or somethin?

What old days-your bike is not even a year old! Then by that logic mine is ancient!

I have not experienced engine fatigue, but yes, the smoothness does go down after about 2-300 kms.of hard ripping, that's probably due to the engine oil. The engine is built to take abuse, I agree.

I agree, but resale goes mostly by year, not kms.clocked.
Anyway why does this guy wanna sell his bike off so soon?

well what I meant by my post is, when for 250 kms you dont get to see tarmac, its only pebbles, loose stones, slush, boulders, black ice, sand and what not, then you cannot rip it in any way. As it is R15 is a track bike, so basically i had to reduce to 20-40kmph on this surface, and luckily she took it all well and came shining through these rough terrains.

So there was no engine fatigue, but ripping the bike in these conditions would have been fatal for both the bike and the rider.... if you get the drift now bro

After coming back from Bangalore, I have ridden it only once-it is collecting dust in my office parking lot. Oh yeah, forgot to mention-it has a badly worn out rear tyre which leaks air too!
One more ride this season...I will abuse&then pamper her again!

The FE you get depends on your riding style. A sedate riding style will give you better FE vs one in which the bike is redlined often, & gear shifts happen towards the end of the RPM band

If you ride hard & want to continue to do so, I'm afraid there would be no way to enhance the FE (fuel efficiency)

But if the FE has gone down significantly without a change in riding style, then it might be down to a clogged air-filter, loose chain, or maybe the petrol bunk is duping you in the quantity of fuel.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Petrol bunks play a huge role in this regard. I'm used to getting about 45kms to a liter from my babe but recently I've got a FE which I was amazed to get and the only thing I changed was the petrol bunk. I got 55kmpl, determined tankfull to tankfull with sedate riding 4-5k rpm shifts but I do redline when a good looking girl is in the vicinity. The petrol bunk that I was refuelling from earlier was an Indian Oil bunk which is not on a main road and about 3kms away from my place, I switched to a BP bunk which as reported by a fellow xbhpian is company owned and company operated.

Usually petrol bunks are company owned but dealer operated, i.e. the ownership of the bunk rests with the respective company (IOL/BP/HP/Shell), but they appoint dealers to operate them. Dealers, for their own profit alter the machines in such a way that they turn over quickly but dispense lesser fuel. Dealers are also reported to are also said to add some liquid which increases the quantity (and therefore their revenues) but degrades the quality of the fuel.
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.
