ok at what time do we need to change it ?
    for every service ???

and what happens if i use normal oil filter for r15 ?

You need to change the oil filter every alternative service. and if you use normal oil filter (which SVC provides) for your R15, your bike would be running absolutely fine.

There are 2 type of chain sproket set which fits in R15 one is ROLON - price - 1400rs and the other one is DID - 2700rs. The ROLON sets are coming in 38B1 and 38B2 model, whereas the DID Set used to come in 20P1 and 20P2 model. There is no difference visually, just that DID is an Indonesian Brand and Rolon is an Indian Brand.

The price has already been revised and if you take some effort to go few pages back you will be able to find the price list attachment as a pdf.

First of all use multi quotes instead of posting again and again consecutively bro, Secondly, if you change the whole rpm meter how can your ODO be clocked in new one, its just common sense brother. RPM meter costs around 3.5K

Also all members this is R15 ownership thread, there is already a speculation thread http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/178...d-new-r15.html for the new model of R15. Kindly discuss all things related to speculation over there rather than making this Ownership Thread a mess. Thanx

              • A small accident

Today I was on my way to office. A cab was taking a right turn. Being right behind the cab, I stopped. He stopped halfway while taking the turn. Then she suddenly started taking reverse without seeing what is behind. He hit the bike and bike fell down. Luckily nothing happened to me. I went and dragged him out of the vehicle and then shouted at him for being so careless. He gave an excuse that he was in a hurry. I was looking around the bike for damage and couldnt find anything. Not even a scratch.

Should I check for something specific in case of bike fall ?

There will be scratch on your RVMs..If your bike fell right side then there would be scratch on your silencer cover...otherwise the foot pegs and the RVMs save uour bike...

The bike fell towards left. It dint fall fully as I was holding it. I guess it was on foot pegs when it fell down. Dint check the RVM.

Guys looking for Motul and other oils in Bangalore, i've found a shop in Kammanhalli. I bought Motul 5100 for Rs 415/- which is very decent considering that we dont have to ride all the way to J.C. Road.

Not alot you can do to prevent this, a smothering of grease on the stickers may help or tie up a bad ass barking dog, with sharp teeth could also prevent this. I have one missing on my tank as well, not sure if it's worth replacing though just incase it goes missing again, are they available from the svc?

                            • Bike getting switched off automatically

                              Dear Friends,

Couple of days ago, I serviced my R15 at Orion, Bangalore.

Changed Spark plug to Iridium, Air filter and few other stuff.

Now all of a sudden, my bike switches off after say 5km of ride and wouldn't start.

In this case, if I park the bike under a shadow, after 20 minutes it starts.

I am going to check with Orion on why this happens. But am sure the SC guys will just do nothing and return the bike.

So, If you guys know what things are to be checked, then I could press those SC guys to check those parts.

Appreciate your feedback! Thanks for reading the post.

WTF, we guys pay 450 for the same

I had my last free service done today, Front Brake pads changed, 430 for pads and 150 for fitting. I think that's too high, I had my friend's front pads changed from outside the service center and that guys took 30 bucks. Time to look for alternate service station, or rather DIY service.

My pads were totally worn out, even the metallic round thingys on the left side of the pads was rubbing against the pads and almost totally worn out. Is my disk fuc*ed because of this??

A pic of the worn out pads:
