  • r15 oil filter costs 169 rs ,

normal oil filter for pulsar bikes is around 30 to 50 rs

just want to know whats the speciality of a r15 oil filter

    Comment

    • ^^^ One line answer: one is a oil strainer (bajaj) with a simple metal sieve and the other (yamaha) is a cartridge type oil filter with pleated filter paper...

Note that the oil strainer is not the primary oil filter, pulsar has a centrifugal type of oil filter that needs to be periodically cleaned.

        • Rear Wheel rim has a bend

          Hi friends,

Have clocked 9K kms in 9 months of owning this baby. Had taken my bike to Mandi last week and had tremendous fun while tackling all the curves the hills threw.

However there were a lot of pot holes on the way and one caught me!
Now my bike has a bent rear wheel (2 inch long - but The tyre is not losing air)

1> Can someone suggest where do i get this straightened as the Yam Service Centre guys said they dont do it...

2> Am planning to go to the Raid this year. Was wondering if i should stick to my Rx 135 or take the R15?

If any one has any plans to go do let me know. Need more suggestions

          Thanks & Regards

                      Hi,

The Rear rim costs around 3K...
I know its a track tool but then last year an R15 competed and was placed 2nd in its group... hence was toying with the idea.

Advantage of an R15 would be no fluttering at high altitudes since its an FI... Also the mileage would be a plus coz my Rx 135 will not return more than 18 in the hills...

An upgrade from any bike to an R15 is awesome... unless ur riding one of these... An Rd 350 / A Ninja / A Cruiser (HD / RE)

But you will need a few kilomteres (may be few hundred as was my case) to understand your R15 - Once your through the teething days, ITS AWESOME!!! -But if you could have waited till Oct - Heard the New R15 will have 21 PS... WOW

This is very true. R15 is not a bike you will fall in love with in the first ride. Ride it for 1k kms and see if any other bike interests you!
Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!
