I think no problems with that; but you should try to find out the best petrol bunk according to you (no adulteration, quantity and max mileage) and then form there you should fill it upOriginally posted by Pranit_Crystal Myth View Post

Have you checked the rear brake?? It might be due to some sand particles stuck up in the brake pad/chain not tightened up properly so rubbing against the swingarm/the dirt accumulated onto the swingarm near the front sprocket.Originally posted by sundarvignesh View Postg
ot my second service done 2 days back, and now im getting a weird noise from the rear side of the vehicle. Not able to figure out as to where it is coming from, hoping it was the chain but isnt.
the noise is a sort of rubbing "kssshhhhhhk" noise
. Could anyone tell me where one should start looking cos everything seems to be fine! Going tmrw to the SVC to give em a piece of my mind and get it sorted out!My Stable.....

Check your rear disk! Since this is your second service, so this rules out worn out disk pads. The sound might be due to muck or dust between the pads. Try cleaning the rear disk with pressurized water.Originally posted by sundarvignesh View Postg

A/C to my guess..the SVC people have over-tightened the Chain...Originally posted by sundarvignesh View Post^^ i checked the chain to see if it was rubbing against anything but everything seems to be normal. Now this noise dosesnt come when i support it on the side stand and rotate the wheel freely.

Check the Chain Slackness ..if it feels very tight , just get it checked once by the SVC guys..sigpic

I experience the exact same problem. My foot is bent if I keep it above the brake lever and it is not at all comfortable. So I keep it under the lever on both sides. When I have to brake I take it from under the lever, get it over it and press it down. It's become a habit now and I don't feel uncomfortable while panic braking as well.Originally posted by abhijeet080808 View PostEven I want to know this - should the foot be above the brake lever or below it?
I keep it above the lever so that I am ready to brake quickly if requred - but the foot bends a bit more than I am comfortable with.
So, how do you guys do it?
Well I don't usually find myself in situations when I have to panic brake, I'm a very calm rider.

Finally the problem got resolved. A replacement ECU was provided. Coolant Temperature sensor was faulty and it was replaced. I test rode for around 15 kms to trace any existing issue. Hope my ride to Bangalore is trouble free.Originally posted by Juris View PostI have a ride planned from Hyderabad to Bangalore. As per routine checkup I had planned to get my bike service last Monday(27th June). Last Sunday I faced engine warning light showing up whenever I crossed 7k RPM for a while. Yamaha SVC took almost 3 days for sorting out all the issues and finally I went to collect my bike y'day. Surprisingly I found the engine warning light popping again whenever, I crossed 7k RPM. I took the bike back to SVC and called the head technician. They suspected speed sensor to be faulty as per the error code (blink pattern of engine warning light) and replaced that for verification. After test ride we found that issue still persisted. Finally the head technician wanted to check ECU and battery. When he took out the ECU from socket he broke one of the 26 pins(socket has carbon in one of the pins hole and that pin was left broken in that hole). I couldn't believe my luck. The problem is getting bigger and bigger. Head technician has assured me to replace it under warranty, but by Friday is a big question. I have been planning for this trip for last 2 months. I took a leave for 1 week for the trip and getting my bike Joeled. All plans are kaput.
Now my questions-
1) What is the price of stock ECU,
2) Is ECU covered under warranty. Has anyone replaced ECU under warranty,
3) Are the sensors covered under warranty,
4) What course of action shall I take if SVC asks me to pay for the ECU.

quite frankly i thought of you when i first heard the noise and i checked if the chain was overtight, but there is enough slack, seems to be normal (20- 40mm as per the manual). taking it to the SVC tomorrowOriginally posted by jairaman12 View PostA/C to my guess..the SVC people have over-tightened the Chain...

uh huh, i checked and everything seems fine now i doubt if the sound is even coming from the rear!Originally posted by chiku181 View PostCheck your rear disk! No its not about speed, its about turning and shifting those gears!

Alright is it just me or are these digital fuel meters a bit inaccurate? i mean lately my fuel gauge seems to be fluctuating a lot while riding!
i understand if this happens when the bike is on the side stand there can be inaccuracy since it is tilted..but while riding?

I think while riding, the bike moves around, we brake, accelerate so the fuel inside also moves and touches the upper sensor and sometimes the lower one and thus the fuel level fluctuates; it gives a rough idea of how much fuel is there. Correct me if I'm wrong.Originally posted by sundarvignesh View PostAlright is it just me or are these digital fuel meters a bit inaccurate? i mean lately my fuel gauge seems to be fluctuating a lot while riding!
