+1. All I want to say is that, the manual should always be your first source of info, not what some random guy here says. Hope you got it.Originally posted by Shivanshu View PostYou got it wrong Rana, i am not bullying anyone out here, what I am trying to say is these questions are best answered in the bike manual, and nothing varies from it. You know just stick to the manual and you and your bike will be rocking hard. I still go through manual when I get a bit confused....
no hard feeling there bro.Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

change interval is 1.5 to 2 years.Originally posted by RhythmRana99 View Posti read the manual. its not like i don't know anything about bikes or this bike. somethings always vary from manual. i thought may be it needs to be changed earlier according to heat conditions. jus because you got more kms on this bike and others got less that doesnot gave you permit to bully people around.

nope its not as per kms, though when the weather is quite hot and the radiator fans kicks in quite normally, then keep checking the level of coolant and if necessary top it up. Change of coolant is at 2yrs, where the existing coolant is drained out and then new one filled.Originally posted by RhythmRana99 View Postits not according to kms?

its not according to kms. stick to the recommended drain interval of 1.5 - 2 years. dont spend unnecessarily on maintenance. as you are a new owner, your worry about your new bike is quiet understandable. we all have gone through a similar situation. but now, i've learned to squeeze the most out of my bike and not to let it squeeze the most out of me. so my advice - stop worrying and start riding.Originally posted by RhythmRana99 View Postits not according to kms?

That's exactly what I feel these days. Most posts on this threads are about little things that aren't even that important, seems like riders are more concerned about being owners than riders.

i touched 142kmph today
, the top whack is getting better with time i guess
, i surely dont understand but yes it is the only possible logical explanation, does anyone else feel the same way ? Two months back even with a slight slope and wind behind my back i managed 136, today i did 142, without the slope and no wind to help me

Sometimes I feel.... Why me
I have a ride planned from Hyderabad to Bangalore. As per routine checkup I had planned to get my bike service last Monday(27th June). Last Sunday I faced engine warning light showing up whenever I crossed 7k RPM for a while. Yamaha SVC took almost 3 days for sorting out all the issues and finally I went to collect my bike y'day. Surprisingly I found the engine warning light popping again whenever, I crossed 7k RPM. I took the bike back to SVC and called the head technician. They suspected speed sensor to be faulty as per the error code (blink pattern of engine warning light) and replaced that for verification. After test ride we found that issue still persisted. Finally the head technician wanted to check ECU and battery. When he took out the ECU from socket he broke one of the 26 pins(socket has carbon in one of the pins hole and that pin was left broken in that hole). I couldn't believe my luck. The problem is getting bigger and bigger. Head technician has assured me to replace it under warranty, but by Friday is a big question. I have been planning for this trip for last 2 months. I took a leave for 1 week for the trip and getting my bike Joeled. All plans are kaput.
Now my questions-
1) What is the price of stock ECU,
2) Is ECU covered under warranty. Has anyone replaced ECU under warranty,
3) Are the sensors covered under warranty,
4) What course of action shall I take if SVC asks me to pay for the ECU.

There is no warranty for physical damage . I dont think so the service guys will replace it for free.Originally posted by Juris View PostI have a ride planned from Hyderabad to Bangalore. The stock ecu is some 7.500/- odd not sure of the exact price. If your planing to get bike joeled with his ecu ask him to send you a stock ecu so that you can get the bike to him then return it . I would go for joels ecu than buying a new stock ecu.Converting Halogen / HID headlamp setups to FULL LED.

Is it that we need to change the oil every 2000 Km ??
I gave the bike for service and was suppose to take it back the next day. I did go and the bike was ready but I told them about the engine over heating and the Red light coming on. The svc guys said that its fine because we have worked on it which they did say the last time and the time before that and for no reason I had to go a day extra to to get it fixed. I spoke to the manager there and he said to keep the bike as he would take a look on it and will call back when the work is done. He did mention that they would check the fans or open the engine or something, I did keep the bike there and he said that there might be a charge for cooliant around Rs. 600. Should I be paying for that as well ? and Since i got the bike there was damages on the Radiator which i told them again and they said its because of the washing.
Please tell me whats right and wrong .
thankyou
