I agree with that... I called it supersport only to differentiate it from sports tourers (soft suspension, upright position like CBR250R)...PS: Supersports are sportsbikes with a BIG engine. Stick to calling the R15 a sportsbike.

Hey folk xBhpians,
Actually, I am trying to find out the ways to fix the camera for recording the video during my ride/tour! Actually, I too have tried method like hanging the camera in the Neck, but the video was not so good(too much vibrations)! I have seen many videos in xBhp where the riders have recorded their solo ride videos in excellent quality and without much vibrations! I own SONY DSC-320 camera! Can you suggest anything!
P.S. I am ready to say sorry if I asked the question in wrong thread but so far I didn't find any other related thread.

Guys my bike's been stolen from Bandstand,Bandra. Its a YELLOW YAMAHA R15 ( MH 02 BS 5663 ). I've lodged a complaint at Bandra police station , but they dont seem to take much interest and neither sound very helpful when i ask inquire about it.
I would request the fellow members (especially from Mumbai) to keep and eye on the road for their locality for a yellow r15 with the above said number. If you find anything information /suspicious about a yellow r15 plz do contact me on 9821449245.

Confused.. Noob Queries!!
Hi Friends,
I've some queries which got me confused.
I've a blue R15 and its my first bike. I hadn't ridden a bike since almost 10 years till I bought it in May'11.
I loved it since the first day.. However, I've got a little frustrated since the First Servicing.
The bike was smooth and handling superb before the first Service (I once had to ride >1km with a flat rear tyre) even then there was not any issue of handling.
But, since the day I got it serviced, I'm having issues now and then.
Nowadays, I'm not feeling too confident while riding it even in the office hours with low speed... There is a khat sound every now and then from the front side; I'm not sure whether its coming from near handle bars or the shockers. but whenever I go through the breakers or small bumps on the road it seems like something gets hit near front. Morevover, The Front seems to vibrate in up and down motion like [ /\/\/\/ ] (tried to imitate the direction
). Also, it seems that the Shockers are too soft/hard as it travels too deep and up. My friend has even checked it by pulling the handle up and the front Shockers traveled upward with ease while the tyre was still touching the ground and please note that it wasn't pressed but was in normal stationary state.
As I'm a noob regarding the caring of such a good machine, I assume I've missed something to check at first service... Now I get to know a few things since then while discussing with a few friends...
such as, The Chain was too loose after servicing and so, Gear shifts were not smooth and I was hearing a lot of noise from rear. Chain wasn't lubed after washing at the time of Servicing and I'm afraid to get it lubed outside (they might use the burnt engine oil).
I visited the SVC two times since the first service but the issue is still not solved.. they sometimes say the chain lube is not available, would do it later.. They tightened the chain but the khat sound still persists...
I even had a fall a few days ago (mentioned somewhere in earlier pages) and was made a fool by the SVC manager in paying them 1300Rs for shocker alignment (which I later came to know, should not be misaligned
at such low speed impact or stationary fall)...
But the Shocker problem is still not rectified.
is it possible that I've been unfortunate and got a defective bike or the SVC is making fool of me.

Simple solution change your service center as i dont think its worth your time where they dont have chain lube also.Originally posted by Sauravh View PostHi Friends,

I've only 1300 on ODO...Originally posted by Shivanshu View Posthow many ODO on your machine brother, was your steering rod every opened or even tightened...??? which service station do you go to in Noida
There is only one SVC in Noida i.e. J.M. Motors...
I don't whether they did tightened the Rod or not...
as I mentioned that I'd a fall and went to SVC.. The Service manager there rode the bike for approx 100 mtrs and said that the front Shockers needs alignment... as I'd to go office, I left the bike with them and got it back after 3-4 hrs... There after The ride back to office was OK.. but in the evening while returning back to home.. I noticed the khat sound again and the vibrations started too... Today, didn't had chance to visit the SVC again..
One more thing... I was stupid that I believed him as he told me about alignment.. He told that if I don't get it done sooner, It would affect the bike's Horn and Coolant seal

... he quoted me that SVC charge for alignment is 1700Rs...
later when I negotiated about it, he quoted that he would personaaly get it done as alignments are not done in the SVC itself but at some third party place and told me that It won't be billed and amount would be 1200RS + 100Rs for the clutch lever which I could get billed.
Yes, I know, I have been made a fool

... But I was not in position to argue as I was too much worried.

So I opened up the front sprocket cover while lubing the chain. What I saw was surreal, grime and dirt was filled to the core. There was no place that wasn't filled with grime. There was a small flexible branch of a tree stuck in there too...
12000 kms of riding and no cleaning had taken it's toll on the front sprocket area.
Anyways, I cleaned up both the sprockets and the chain as best as I could. Might take the front sprocket out to clean the surrounding are properly, but this will take a while so I guess I'll have to wait till sunday for doing that.
Anyways, the reason for this post was to let all R15'ers know that you should open up the front sprocket and clean it too when you clean and lube the chain.

Footpeg vibes could be due to loose bolts connecting them to the frame, or loose engine mounting bolts. Check these.Originally posted by jairaman12 View PostTibby Bhai..

Been there done that several times (latest being on Monday).Originally posted by Parth View PostSo I opened up the front sprocket cover while lubing the chain. You should ask the SVC to open the front sprocket cover & then wash the bike. I always insist on it, else washing/lubing is useless.
Anyways, the best way to clean the muck (from my experience) is to use diesel, with help from a toothbrush. Works like a charm.
Don't go about removing the sprocket! It might be more complicated than you think if you end up removing it.
My views on the YZF-R15 V2.0: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/198...tml#post699240
The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Bangalore R15 owners.... Need urgent help
Hi,I ve come to Bangalore from Hyderabad to get my bike joelled. I need coolant temperature sensor and lean angle sensor for my R15. Which service centre normally stocks most of the spares. I stay close to Sarjapur road. I tried my luck at Orion but they are out of stock. Any help is appreciated.
