In the manual its mentioned SAE 20W40 or SAE 20W50...will it be a prob if I switched to 15W50? during last service, they poured a semi-synthetic oil but I don't know the grade.

we got to the bottom of the problem, it's the spark plug cap. Me and Sunny went to Yam SVC today and bought a new spark plug cap. The rubber on the top and the bottom of the cap had become hard and hence there was improper insulation. Hence the mis-firing problem.Originally posted by abhi_underdog View PostMore on this please, even my bike sort of misfires sometimes, similar to carb-ed bikes when they are cold.
change the cap and things will be solved.
costs 65 bucks only.

Bean,Originally posted by Bean View Posteyes close go for Yamaha R15 buddy
I bought my R15 last September before that i was damn confuse which one to buy, i was confuse in R15,ZMR and P220 , then i had a test ride of all of them one by one, ZMR i rejected as soon as i sat on it for test ride, P220 i rejected when i crossed 75kms/hr on it, i feel like something gonna fall from the body if i accelerate , i feel very risky crossing 70km/hr on P220 and P220 sound is very bad ZMR got much better sound than P220. and then i had a test ride of R15 WOWOWOW! in 1st gear only i got so much impressed and i set my mind to buy R15, before buying i had a long ride of 25kms on R15 and it was really comfortable
i really like this beauty
Sorry for late reply. I bought new black beast R15. Iam really enjoying it.

burninrubbr, Thanks to you as wellOriginally posted by burninrubbr View PostThe R15
220 isn't bad, I own one, its a torque-y beast
The R15 is finer and elegant, and a great handler too
Its like deo is to avoid smelling, whereas perfume is to smell good

our bike recommendation is 20w50, i have always been using 15w50. you can even use 10w50 or 5w50 or even 0w50, but never 25w50 or 30w50 and so on. That's the way it works. You can descend with the former part(the part before 'W') but never ascend and the later part(the part after 'W') should always be maintained. Hope that helps.Originally posted by Prakritij View PostThank You man

whoa! i feel the black, the white and the deep cherry R15 are the best looking R15s, why do you wanna repaint it man? :O moreover after re-painting, you'll have to inform the RTO and the Insurance company of that else the Insurance stands invalid dude...Originally posted by nidhinsr19 View PostGuys please let me know if anyone have done paint customization on your R15.

ok i have a pic of a white painted R15, will upload here. See if you like it.
and 1 question, can the chain adjuster (the color palette kinda thingy at the ending tip of the swingarm
) be fitted on a 220 swing arm as well? can anybody please check if R15 swingarm is any different from P220? I mean just the end part. Thanks.

then you might have a faulty AFR as well. Please get it checked asap. 1 given tuning can never be same for all.Originally posted by abhi_underdog View PostThanks will get this checked. But it has been always been misfiring a little, of late it increased a little, but earlier i didnt mind it.

@ashaq54: Though I prefer having the matt black panels, the rim paint job is looking stunning, I must say.
The other day I saw an R1 at the SVC&the paint shade has matched perfectly.
I was also thinking of getting this done to my same colored bike, but didn't wanna make it too jhintak goldy type-hope you understand what I mean!
I have a few questions:
1. Is this normal paint or powder coat?
2. What was the approximate cost&effort involved?
3. Is the paint holding up?
Thanks in advance.Quench my thirst with gasoline!
