and what do you mean- "it used to have the same issues like you mentioned. But it went off by itself after proper tuning." here??
what kind of tuning do you refer to here??

I had a similar problem, if the sound is coming from the front, for sure it is the front disc brake. Just wash it thoroughly with pressurized water and see the magic..It worked for me!
If it still doesn't go, ask the svc to remove the pads and check for wear and tear, if the condition of the pads is fine, ask them to scrub it off a bit with sand-paper and the problem shall be sorted..do keep us updated..
not a big issue at all..
      veyron999/ abhi_underdog,

Looks like the front disk issue only. I gave it for the first service, now i dont find any and hope nothing further.
A bike is only as bad as it's worst rider.

but there are a few more things
1- i want to buy a "seat cowl" for my bike. but right now its not available in my city. can someone suggest me a website whre i can order them online.

2- i planning to go for broader rear tyres. please suggest a good size .

3- have seen a lot of r15s with angel eyes and projector lamps. are they advisable??...i mean dont they affect the batteries performance.

        please answer my queries...someone...anyone....

The seat cowl is a waste of your money, honestly. It costs 2k, and it isnt even a good looking or functional seat cowl as it does not have the back pad that you see on the seat cowls of bigger bikes. Neither does it look good in my opinion ( I've seen it) I am sorry to say this, but as much as i love Yamaha, the seat cowl is a marketing gimmick (in my opinion). So I dont think you should get it.

Also, do stick to the stock tyres, broader tyres will drastically reduce performance as there will be more rotational mass. You will seriously loose acceleration.

Angel eye headlamps will drain the battery very fast and I reccomend that you install them only if you find a quality brand and also find an after-market battery that can handle the load.

Seems like you are interested in some visual upgrades, why dont you try re-stickering your fairings to make it more unique? you could draw up your own design and get the stickers printed at any auto modification shop.

Just my thoughts, I may be wrong about things

Dude that's tragic! I sinverely feel sorry for your loss.

I know how depressed I was when I had the smallest scratch. I once made the same mistake of leaving the keys in, luckily nothing happened. I sincerely hope those thieves will be caught and that you'll get your bike back.

Dudw, the people at Orion Motors have a reputation for swindling customers, make sure you get a first aid kit, and a tool kit with the bike. Check coolant and oil level. Stick to run in rpm restrictions, but accelerate as hard as you can within them, also give the bike lots of engine braking for a good run in. Keep varying the throttle for run in. Fuel up on the same fuel, i reccomend shell. clean and Lube your chain every 800 km's minimum and whenever it rains or you wash the bike. After run-in, when you cold start your bike, leave the bike in idle for a minute or two to warm up before riding (less engine wear and tear). And ride below 5k rpm for the first 3-4 km. This will preserve your engine and give it a much better life.

hey i was reading your reply...
                just need to clarify something...
i recently bought HH CBZ 2011 model and completed 1100 kms till date.
since my bike is still inrunning in kms i usually avoided city driving and pillon with me..so this complete 1100 kms are covered on highway WITH MINIMUM BRAKING , rarely gear shifts AND WITHOUT PILLION BUT yes withing speed limits below 55 kmph.
                is something wrong here?
should i go for another 1000 kms runn-in precautions with braking drive this time?
                what else should i do?
                Help me!!!

NEED TO KNW THE PROCEDURE OF ADDING THE "POLL" TO ANY THREAD.?

Its ok, dont worry about it too much if you have followed run-in guidelines. But it's very important that you keep varying the throttle position. Do NOT ride at a constant speed until run-in is over! keep accelerating and deccelerating. Even if you dont get to shift much in the highway, try shifting through all gears atleast occasionally and accelerate and deccelerate hard in each. when i say deccelerate, i mean release the throttle and let the bike slow down without touching the brakes.
Until run-in is over, accelerate and deccelerate hard, and dont wait for the engine to warm up when you start the bike as friction is good for the engine during run-in.After run-in, if your asking about the CBZ then you dont have to warm up much since it is an air cooled engine and will get warm much faster than a liquid cooled one, but still let it warm up for atleast 20 seconds before riding, this will lengthen your engine life.

Are you running on mineral oil or semisynthetic, if you are on mineral oil you have even less reason to worry as the engine will be even less sensitive to bad treatment from the rider.

All in all, don't worry, if you are getting decent mileage, power, and your ride is vibe free. Your bike is fine. Badly run-in bikes will have a notable drop in mileage and power. enjoy your ride...........

Dude, I made friends with him at the service centre when I went for my second service. I was really impressed by the dedication he put into his work. If you are in bangalore and are frustrated with the pathetic service most SVC's offer, just go to perfect riders. They are the only people I know of who treat customers with basic human decency.

I second that. Though I haven't got my bike serviced there, I have picked up quite a few spare parts&accessories&they always have every part in stock. I was hard pressed to find a few parts like clutch bell etc. in Hyderabad, but they had it.
                      Service&courtesy are great.

                      • Anyone using aftermarket grips on the throttle and clutch?

My last crash ended up with me loosing the right side bar end weight, a bent handle bar and the throttle grip is rashed as well. I'm thinking of changing it and hence wondering whether to stick to stock or to get aftermarket grips for both bars?

I didn't have any issues with the stock grips either. Any suggestions?
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

I use the stock grips with aftermarket grips on top of them.

True, bangalore usually has parts. And as long as they need to sell you something they are courteous, but try giving your bike for a service. Or infact try this, try finding online reviews for orion motors, pacer yamaha motors, or almost any yamaha service centre in bangalore and find what the review has to say.
Anyway, thats just been my experience for the most part. Orion motors made me wait a whole day just for a chain clean and lube and they kept telling me it would be ready in 5 mins. When i finally got mad and went in to see the bike, they had messed up something and it wouldnt start. The guy then started revving like mad in neutral to start it which is pretty abusive treatment to the bike. All i asked for was a chain clean and lube.

Sad to hear that bro. Here also many have complained about Pearl Yamaha, but I always found that staying with the bike makes the difference in service, in addition to tipping the mechs.!
