Check Drive chain slack(play or movement) - should have a slack of 20-40mm use scale to measure.

refer to page 6-21 in Owner's Manual for step by step instructions to adjust it.

teh r15 is a finely honed machine any small excesses are making huge differences,
i just had the tank filled yesterday for teh first time since i got her and with a full tank teh handling has a taken a massive beating the bike seems to have a lost its awesome coolness in the corners , i mean it is still class leading but a notch down from earlier in the evening when i had 4 lts in the tank.
im proud and sad at teh same, proud that my bike actually has a lot of sports bike DNA and sad that u cannot take anything for granted

12kg more on a 15bhp bike.. It’s worse than loss of power and handling with fatter rear tires.
Do athletes run with a stomach full– just enough for their needs.
Any extra load on the R15 takes a toll on its performance – very notable at low RPMs.

Petrol overflows on expansion, especially if you have filled the tank in the morning. Most petrol bunks store petrol underground.. colder the ground, denser the petrol.. Infact petrol companies make their profit during after noon sales. 1% difference.
advantage in doing a full tank - there is less air in the tank and hence less evaporation loss. Petrol evaporates faster than you can imagine.

shouldn't be.. i've been using xtra premium since day one.. touched 136kmph couple of days back.

more than teh added weight i think it is the shift in the centre of gravity that is affecting me more than just the added weight becoz im pretty heavy myself

guyz, below is the mail i have written to Yamaha Kolkata...can anyone tell me the email address of the Yamaha HO at Delhi???

Dear Yamaha,

It has been two weeks I have been waiting for rear disc pads but this dealer of yours (EAST ZONE SUPPLY CORPORATION) at Kolkata is telling me that you have always "back ordering" this requirement.

What is happening can you please tell me?????

First of all you give us such low quality parts with a superior bike like this (rusting,alloy cracks,chain noise,wear of disc pads and what not...)and then you delay in sending the parts.

What do you think customers are fool???Perhaps yes,otherwise why should they go for this bike?????Just for looks???and such a PATHETIC SERVICE. I have waited for long and now thinking to sue this company for such a poor quality product with this much of price.

Please revert ASAP.

I don't think so too-Extra Premium should make your vehicle smoother. Check out the coolant level, chain condition etc.Also check for no oil leaks around the engine chamber.

Didn't get any replies in the Accessory thread, so putting it here:

I've been unable to get the following accessories in Hyderabad
1. Billet Brake Lever-Titanium
2. Steering Center Bolt Cap-Titanium
3. Swing Arm Pivot Cap-Gold
4. Front Wheel Shaft Remover Flange-Gold
5. LED Position Light-Blue
6. Number Plate Bolt
7. Air Bulb Cap-Black

I think these are not available in any showroom in Hyderabad, Bangalore or Pune. Someone was saying the only place I can get all of them is in Saket Mall, Delhi. Could someone from Delhi please confirm this, esp.the LED position lights?

All the mentioned above are available in Bangalore in Perfect Riders.. Shridhar got Billet levers and some other things on last saturday..

Yesterday changed both the disk pads.. my bike has done 9k Kms and both the pads are gone.. And the price of the Disk pads
Rear Disk Pads: Rs. 1000
Front Disk Pads: Rs. 666

My rear pad worn out was the worst.. i rarely use it.. whats up with the quality Yamaha and the cost

.. Mine came till 9k what about others who are complaining at 6k kms.. Saw in the warranty section. even rims doesnt come under warranty

Total cost of my service yesterday was 2.3 K for 5 months old bike.. My 2-stroke service was much cheapier

But i am very happy with the service. BW prabha did great work on my bike.. was there from morning to evening and watched his work.. he did a great job..

just got a call from the SS. The company officials called them up and asked them to inspect my vehicle after looking at the spreadsheet. I will be going tomo or day after . Anyone wants to join me ?

And any other ppl with probs should defi post it on the spreadsheet. Yamaha guys are watching.
