Well smart card in nothing but the RC book, which earlier was a book n now comes as a card. People call it bike smart card.
Card???
in chennai we still get it as a paper, is that what you meant as a card???
-----------------
last evening i visited Ambal motors for a small prob with the bike......
Whenever i Raise the throttle slowly it acts as if there was no petrol in it(even though there was 4+ lts of fuel)its the same thing which happens when the petrol is about to get over.......those people there tried all soughts of things ,nothing worked , at last they removed some adapter near the spark plug and rolled a insulation tape in it and fixed it, asked me to come back on monday.....the prob still persists and the people over here does not have any idea about it.....also there was a small spark(the engineer here mentioned that something is blocking
) near the spark plug area or the adapter(thats what they said
).....especially when the throttle is raised slowly......
anyone else here has faced the same prob.....please let me know what is the solutionLife's a Challenge

So drove to SS straight, and the guy there changed my spark plug+adapter and billed me for 260 Rs.
It seems the spark plug, adapter, engine's oil seals aren't covered under warranty.
Note: My bike did just 2900kms, last service was done at 2600kms.
Is it all just normal? Tried to post it that day itself, but the forum had some problem and it just wasnt accepting my posts..
yeah the same prob which i'm facing.....anyone else ha faced the same prob?Life's a Challenge

Stop all the comparison talk. This is an R15 ownership thread, not a performance comparison discussion thread between x,y,z. IMO, this is an OT discussion, and it ends ASAP. If you guys want to continue this discussion, start a new thread.

@R15Rocks: Are you looking for an infraction? This is seriously out of line! With two moderators trying to keep the discussion in line, you are still posting about this!!
@archibaby: No more baiting please.
@samarth: Many mods have warned you time and again. If you do not understand how to post on a forum, without ticking other members off every other day, then I'm afraid you're also looking at an infraction. This is not a threat BTW."Tough times never last, but tough people do." - Robert Schuller

hehe .. anyway the reco tyre pressure is 28/33 .. do all of you agree with this or does a different pressure give better performance. I guess there'll be diff pressures for diff purposes .. mileage/top end/ tyre wear.
Edit: The servicing centre stand is available at perfect riders for 650 INR .. Anyone bought it ??? Is it worth the amount coz it defi is worth the functionality.

Stick to the recommended. I tried two points higher a few times and was it was not great at some corners and 3-4 points lower does show up on pickup. However, two points lower on the rear was great for grip... does effect the mileage marginally.Originally posted by archibaby View Posthehe .. anyway the reco tyre pressure is 28/33 .. do all of you agree with this or does a different pressure give better performance. Its not bout the weight ,
Today me and another member drunkdriver were on my bike , and we also had an fz .
with that pressure i use , its best for grip. i Find no drop in mileage nor pick up.
Simple logic
-Higher the pressure -lesser friction-more bouncy bouncy , can feel on the handle-u ll start feeling each pot hole on ur back/spine.
-Lower pressure , ur front end doesn respond well at all , feels lazy lazy. doesn want to turn.Plus when taking a curve at 100 plus u ll feel the
-Use a pressure where ur comfy rather than what the meter reading in the bunk says.
The meters are crap , each one gives a weird reading..
HP meters are nutty .
My opinion oly.
I stick to IOC bunk meter ,same meter brand used in all ioc bunks.
PS
Slight variation in pressure in this bike , handling takes a toss.
set it oly when the tyres are cold , else no no..
