HEY, I was asking if we could fit the NINJA's or the RTR180's rear fender on the R15?
And how about filling fully synthetic oil, I've clocked 3900 kms.
I am presently running on the semi synthetic which the company fills in.
How about a HID? Will it drain the battery more or I should go for simple blue halogens?

Thanks Shreyas, about the Disc Lock I would be going to market on Sunday (only off day) and then would update you about it.Originally posted by Shreyas82 View Post@Shivanshu:
Congrats on your bike.
A drop of 1 or 2 psi after 3 days is normal for me and a couple of other R15's that I know, however some bikes do not loose 2 psi even after a week, so i guess it varies from bike to bike. I'm used to filling air every alternate day.
28 and 33 is good for me.
Would really appreciate specifics on the disc lock, I'm hunting for one too.
Cheers,

Thanks AparajithOriginally posted by Aparajith View Post1. Use whatever PSI ur comfortable with. Depends on how much fuel u always maintain in ur tank, how much u weigh etc. I found 28 a bit too hard and bumpy and currently use 24 - 25 for front and 32 for rear as am mostly on singles. With load/doubles, I use 36.
2. Very normal for tubeless tires. No punctures. Happens in my car/bike as well. No need to remove the wheel/tire to fix punctures. Get the tubeless puncture repair kit, even u can do it!

Update - the New R15 clutch assy has been modified. Its now running the FZ-16 clutch assy and plates.... There will be a revision to the parts catalog for the new R15 soon to document this.

Thanks for the update! What about the bell&housing, the major sources of irritation in our bikes?Originally posted by jd666 View PostUpdate - the New R15 clutch assy has been modified. Also, how long do you think the R15 clutch plates will last, under normal usage? While changing clutch plates would it be good to change the complete clutch assembly so as to eliminate the vibes?Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Hi Guys,
Just got my bike back from first service. they only changed the Engine oil and did not change the oil filter. would it be a problem? when i inquired with the service engineer, he said they usually change it at second service. is that fine?

Diagnose the problem
Hey guys,
I had asked about the fork assembly price details on my R15. Am now unable to pin-point the exact source of the problem. Any help appreciated. Following is my problem:
1. The bike veers towards the left strongly once I take both my hands off the handlebar
2. Braking tugs the bike to the left
3. Turning to the left feels like the bike wants to keep turning and never come back to original position. Feels very eager
4. There is resistance turning to the right. Mid corner the bike feels like its straightening before tilting towards right again.
5. Left handle bar feels out of sync with right. Thats is, I feel am keeping my left hand lower or in a position not proper with my right hand
6. When the front wheel is straight, the handlebar assembly (ie) the ignition lock, Tstem etc appear slightly tilted to the left.
7. Riding with only the right hand feels like the bike wanting to swerve right, then left, then right and so on.
Is this issue a sure shot case of fork bend or could it just be a T-stem bend? Cud the alloy also have taken the brunt or worse, the chassis near the neck have a bend?
How can each of these be inspected and as am prepared to replace, what might require replacement?Democracy is when 2 wolves and a sheep meet to decide who is for dinner. Liberty is when the sheep has a gun.

The oil filter needs to changed during the first service, it was done during the first service and not the second one.
This is because metal filings that come loose during the run-in process are captured by the oil filter.

1. Fork was slightly bent
2. Racer ball bearings of the handle was assumed to be damaged and required replacement but it was found out that the grease had dried up and normal lubricating helped to get them back on track.
Regarding your left handle bar which you think is out of sync needs to be checked and if required replaced. I hope this will help you to some extent if not complete. Although this helped to fix my issue.

I think to eliminate that only they have switched over to the FZ clutch plates and assy ( which means the bell and housing has also been changed ). The R15 clutch plates have lasted till 40,000 + kms easily. The FZ clutch is equally good, and cheaper, but i dont know how well will it last under the high revving R15 engine.Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostThanks for the update! This is a modification done by yamaha, so accordingly you will have to see if old R15 engines can be modded the same way. though i would advise not to.

Anyway, will look into this when I require clutch plate replacement. Do you think the older plates would be available later?Quench my thirst with gasoline!
