1st Query: as per the company norms the tyre pressure of front should be 28 and rear should be 33psi right? but some of the owners suggested 30 and 35psi. Seeing the summers is it recommended?
2nd Query:Also I see a drop in tyre pressure after every 2 to 3 days is there a possible puncture in the tyre. If yes can I gt the tyre checked at any puncture shop which fixes tubeless puncture, or shall I go to Yamaha Service center as my bike hasnt done 1000kms yet and I dont want any hassles on my first Service.
3rd Query: I was thinking to install a Disc Lock on my bike, will it in any way void the warranty of the bike? and is it alright to get it fixed?

Yes you can get it checked at any puncture shop that repairs tubeless punctures. Any idea how much pressure is being lost?
I mean when you get it to the air filling point how much pressure do you see in the tyre?My thoughts...

A disc lock will not void any warranty. It does not tamper with any settings.
If you are having to refill your tyres every 2-3 days, you surely have a puncture, albeit a minor one, but you do have it. Check your nozzle as well.
Stick to company recommendations about tyre pressure. You know what "expert" advice can be. Your bike might feel like it is flying with a higher tyre pressure, but you will have less adherence while braking and cornering. You get the drift? (All puns intended!)
And finally congrats! The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

@Shivanshu:
Congrats on your bike.
A drop of 1 or 2 psi after 3 days is normal for me and a couple of other R15's that I know, however some bikes do not loose 2 psi even after a week, so i guess it varies from bike to bike. I'm used to filling air every alternate day.
28 and 33 is good for me.
Would really appreciate specifics on the disc lock, I'm hunting for one too.
Cheers,
Shr.

Infact in summers 2-3 PSI less than normal is recommended.

1. Use whatever PSI ur comfortable with. Depends on how much fuel u always maintain in ur tank, how much u weigh etc. I found 28 a bit too hard and bumpy and currently use 24 - 25 for front and 32 for rear as am mostly on singles. With load/doubles, I use 36.Originally posted by Shivanshu View Post1st Query: as per the company norms the tyre pressure of front should be 28 and rear should be 33psi right? but some of the owners suggested 30 and 35psi. 2. Very normal for tubeless tires. No punctures. Happens in my car/bike as well. No need to remove the wheel/tire to fix punctures. Get the tubeless puncture repair kit, even u can do it!
3. No idea.

It seems very strange that many R15's have this problem of clutch cable snapping when the bike has done 6k kms mark. Even, mine was broken at some 6300kms. Though at time i wasn't lucky enough to be near the showroom. So i had to ride 7 kms in the 1st and 2nd gearOriginally posted by Shreyas82 View PostDang clutch cable snapped today morning, on a flyover at 9 in the morning
, luckly i was only about 1.5 Km away from the showroom.
ODO reading - 6456 Km and i get an average of 40 Km per litre normally in the city.
Clutch cable - Rs. 88.43
Labour Charge - Rs. 50
Perfect riders, bangalore.
I was really cheesed off, almost everyone screaming at me as i was reversing the wrong side on the flyover...
But a really sweet girl in a santro made my day, conversation given below:
Girl: Honks really loud and stops behind the bike (its a slope...)
Me: Sorry, the clutch cable is cut.
The Girl: So what ? learn how to ride (she drives off..)
Belated women's day mam, if you ever read this.
!! Though i got i replaced free of labour charge
. So the owners of new R15's better be careful
Man, i think u must have tips from her on how to ride...just kidding!!!2009 YAMAHA YZF-R15

This drop is normal for mine and my friends also, AFAIK.. I already had mended two punctures in the back tyre and from that time the pressure is dropping even more. I think its time to replace my tyre. But i feel that tubeless tyres become headache once they get punctured!!Originally posted by Shreyas82 View Post@Shivanshu:
