Its the reserve odometer. It comes on as soon as the bike hits reserve level.
If you press the select button, you can change the display to odo, trip1 or trip also. You can even reset the F mode by pressing reset button.
By default, when bike is in reserve, when you turn the key on, it will display the F mode.
    Hope this helps.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

    • Hi friends, i have purchased a r15

I have checked the coolant level & engine oil while i took delivery.

I have ridden it only in dense traffic in the evenings. Within 3kms itself, the heats up a lot & radiator fan emits heat a lot on the right side & engine is also very hot when i touch the clutch case. I drive it really slow & never gone above 4k rpm. I asked yamaha service center guys, they said as its new its heating a lot. This seems to be unusual, so i am going to check coolant flow tomorrow morning. Till now i have ridden only 57Kms

Does other R15 owners also face the same kind of heating issue?

Can i turn off vehicle when fan is running? bcos for me even if i turn off the engine through kill switch, radiator runs for 2-4 min so should i let it run turning on the engine?

In cars when radiator starts to run when parking, usually when i raise the throttle, the coolant flows fast & fan stops running, checked in some cars, So the same concept does not work in R15?

YES in traffic radiator fan kicks in + new bike emits more heat in run-in so dont worry

          • Saw a lime green R15 with a T/R Plate.......was 100% sure that it was the company color scheme as the finish and shine was of top quality. Has the same graphics as sunset red , black and impact yellow coloured R15s. Strange???
Fun begins only after 6K rpm.....!

            • Guys , today while coming back home the red warning light ( hot coolant ) popped up . It was a extremely hot Chennai evening with bumper to bumper for more than 30 mins.
The bike was emitting a lot of heat so i let the cool down for a while and also checked the coolant level but i couldnt go to the SVC as most of them close by 6 30 pm The coolant was above the low level . The light disappeared for a while but popped up again after 10 mins of riding in the traffic .
I know the bike gets really hot during summer & slow moving traffic , but i am pretty sure the warning light is not supposed to come up at any cost ? I am going to see the SVC tomorrow but a little insight into this would save me from getting ripped by the SVC .
Is the cooling system at fault here ? I can hear the radiator fan working so that rules out on problem , what else could be it ?

since the radiator fan is working , it could be a problem with the coolant flow , chech from blocks or obstructions , also engine can overheat if oil level is low , i guess its best to take it to the SVC and run a full check ...

I've seen a few R15s with split seats here, and believe me ,to me it looks pathetic. Ok not pathetic, but the stock seats look better than the split ones.

                          • New to R15 but not new for biking

                            Hi Guys,

This is Rajesh from TN, and i owned fazer for the past one and half years and got bored of it as i done around 32K KM in it and not really happy with its power as i am a highway rider mostly....as R15 is meant for power, it was my dream to own it...but couldnt afford 1.1L for a new one...last week i was in SVC for my fazer's paid service....the manager knows i am looking for used R15 (but pretty good condition) and he informed that a good condition yellow R15 is available for sale which done only 3.5K till now and cost around 88K....i asked him to do some bargain with the owner and finally settled down with 85K...with this, i just sold my fazer two days before for 58K and waiting for R15 arrival...its supposed to come by tomorrow evening or by monday....my question is what should i check to confirm the bike is in good condition and 85K is reasonable for a 3.5K KM done bike? and the manager informed that the bike's seat handle color got faded little bit...he told stickers would be a cheap solution to hide the faded area...what will be the best solution for that?

                            • does anyone have problems with their front indicators "falling off" ???

i've gone thru two pairs in the past year... the rubber seems to go flaccid.

it's bloody annoying... the things just keep falling off.

pretty embarrassing too... when someone points that it's popped out.

and yes... incase u're wondering... the indicators were fitted properly.
