  • ^Ah! Nice dont thank me, I guess jd666 was the guy who uploaded it in the first place.

There is a parts manual thread on another forum here might be of your use.

Lubing without centre stand is a pain. Get the stand from the gladiator.
Else you could always drop the bike on your thighs after the chain clean and lube the chain :P not efficient but "A man has to do, what he has to do "

    • @online sastish - you can get a paddock stand made from any fabricator fella or install a main stand in 800 rs. Dont move to FS so early as i think your bike is not even 10000 kms old.

      • I made a little something for my bike. Made her tail light into an LED tail light setup. I planned on doing this in may when she turned 1 but the friend who was gonna do it couldn't find time for it so I decided to make it myself.

        Some pics:

        Brake light only:

        Running light:

Running light and brake light both:

Will mount it on the bike this evening. What do you guys think about it so far?
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

        • You could still lube the chain without installing a full main stand... just plonk it in slide the bar and lube and clean and remove the stand when not required... ofcourse the stand helps in parking at tricky places, but the fabrication and a new paddock is upward of 650rs for the stand

          • Booked the new R15

            Hi Guys,

In a previous post, I mentioned I will be buying a new R15. Due to a family emergency, I could not purchase the bike that time, but today I went to Yamaha showroom here in Bangalore and booked the new R15, being launched next month (101% sure, as mentioned by Yamaha sales). They have started the bookings for the new bike and are clearing stocks for the old one.
I am 6th in queue and will get the bike in October as per the sales people. The bike will be launched and in display in September for sure.

P.S: All information as per Yamaha sales people; however they have no clue about the exact specs of the bike and its price, however what came out of the discussion was a thicker rear tyre, increased power (showroom people are 99% sure its 20BHP), enhanced graphics and cowling. The engine remains 150 cc and the name remains R15.

google it bro, "R15 spy pic" ; its a much awaited ride and what I read in some link is, its a 20% increase in power. The looks of the bike has been copied over from R6, the new R15 is also known as Baby R6 .

Yeh bro, I have seen those pics, and just wanted a confirmation from someone at Yamaha; now that they have started the bookings for the bike, I think I am convinced it is all set to be launched in September; Let us wait for the exact specs..It is a baby R6 for sure

                  +1,

But I checked with a Showroom manger here, where there are currently getting trained in the New R15. He says the only modification to the performance is the ECU and Performance will remain more or less the same.
They have tested itseems and their feedback is, it may be about 17.5hp and also he made a statement that the bike handles much sharper then the old R15.

But he not sure, coz still performance figures are not revealed by Yamaha.

Agreed, all we have to do is wait till the 1st week of September, because Yamaha people here told me that the launch date is most probably, the 6th of September. We will have more info then. I was told 20 BHP by the sales people and they justified by saying that they know the bike has been tested for 150km/h. Also, more power needed to pull the fatter tyre so the increased BHP. Let us wait for next month when the mean machine reveals itself.

Sort of got used to the riding position now. But it still hurts a bit in traffic.

I don't think the oil is the culprit. The bike was not sufficiently warmed up, or the cross winds were too much. I have faced this many times.
Though some say there is a difference, I feel Yamalube SS is Motul with a different sticker!
Donno about FS though, I have never felt inclined to try it. Not comfortable with the idea of topping up every now&then.

                      • Did a Bangalore-Goa-Bangalore over the last weekend, and bike performed amazingly well even with a pillion. Was able to hit 140KMPH (With pillion) and looked like i could have pushed more, before i gave up.

Back from the trip, i see my front tyre is almost bald. Anyone knows the price of the front tyre/ any better alternatives??

Ya anna, i could'nt find time to go there, now dont ask me how did i find time for the ride

I did go to patny motors today for the replacement, manager asked me to go Pearl Yamaha as the bike was purchased from there and he did not have my bike in their list. As per him all the replacement have been done from his SVC.

I was abt to go to Pearl today along with dhiraj, sunny and few others but itseems they have few issues and are not taking any bikes. Will have to wait for a few day now.

And i started ripping the bike after i crossed the airport, Thats close to 35kms from my home, So the engine oil should have been warm! Winds?? not much! Ya i know tht Yamalube is repacked motul, That is why i asked them to fill that one up!

And i never had any issues with FS oil so far and i have not topped up either. Oil level was just perfect all the time in RTR. I just replace it every 5-6k kms.

And ya, if SP posts a pic, that would be a sight for sure And i can lift the R15 myself anna am strong

Will post few pics of the leakage later in the evening.
