  • Hi All,

Bent rim . The rear tyre had beena little wobbly since the past month, i thought it was because the tread was depleting on the tyre and i even bought a new tyre yesterday, didnt put it though. But since yesterday the rear wheel had been really wobbly. I check and i see a bent, will i need to replace the rim or is there any other solution. How much for a new rim?

    Thanks in advance.

Front is 2366 bucks, the rear can't be far off, wish there was a better quality alternative.

I bought mine in Ambal Motors (Poonamalee High Road). I'm satisfied with their service. I've also heard positive feedback about Jain Yamaha (T.Nagar).

                • Out of my Experience with Yamaha dealers in Chennai,

If you want your bike without much of waiting then visit,

Shree Motors, KK Nagar ( I took three Yammies R15 Fazer and SZ-R, without waiting even for a day)
Also, Sri-Ram Motors Paadi (They have huge amount of new stock everytime)

                  and
                  Ambal Motors.

                  If you want spares,

Sri-Ram Motors Paadi, (You name a part, you get it there. I myself got spares from here for the other service centers)

If you want best service Particularly R15,

Visit Jain Yamaha, T.Nagar (Ask for Mech Mohan, He is well experience and very patient in handling the bike)

You can expect crappy service from,

                  Sree Motors,
Raj Yamaha and Sri-Ram Motors Paadi.

                    • Stick with stock or get a Pirelli MT75. Visit the dedicated thread on tyres for more.

                        • Went in for the 15th servicing yesterday @ 28474kms.

                          The following things were replaced:
                          1. Air filter
                          2. Oil filter
                          3. Front disc brake pad
                          4. Switched back to Motul 5100 (300v was a bit heavy on my pocket )

The air filter box had lost all it's threads (where the 4 bolts holding the air filter cover go in). So the mechanic drilled larger hole through the existing hole and used size 10 bolts. Now it's fine. Also asked the mechanic to check the clutch plates and clean them. He cleaned it and said its good enough for another 20k kms. Now the bike feels a lot more smooth!

                          Total damage = Rs 1145/-

I myself am using 300V for the past 2 refills and shall go back to Yamalube Semi next service onwards. Though the 300V appears to be healthier (color wise) The bike seems happier with the semi.

@Pranit - The fog got formed on my console too, but went away shortly (a very heavy down pour)
