Hi, how much did you pay for the replacement?

For the past few days my bike's exhaust has become a louder than before, not that i mind it, but i hope its not any issue. Also, my bike does not start in gear, is something wrong with the clutch plates?
Also finding it a little hard to wheelie.

The only changes that I've done is that i used motul ss oil for the last change.

          Any suggestions would be welcome.

          Regards,

There could be something wrong with your exhaust system... A leakage maybe... Get that checked out... Alternatively it could be something wrong with your air intake system, though I doubt that... Good luck!!!

I guess Speeo sensor has gone kaput. Take the bike to SVC and get it checked.

According to you, your bike has covered 23K, I suggest that you get a compression check done. Also if you have been abusing the clutch by pulling wheelies and stuff, then get the clutch examined as it may have worn out.

Remember, abuse of you bike will come at a price and the price can be far more than what you thought while you were getting your trills.

Thanks Guyz ! There's a good chance that something is wrong with the exhaust as I had met with an accident in March which broke the exhaust cover t! Also i'll get the clutch switch checked. Will report after I do that.

Yeah you are right. It's 90 cms and a bit long, even though it is intended for R15. The bite is much much better and the stopping distance has decreased a lot. However, I changed oil + braided lines + rotor plate and what I observe as feedback is a combined effect.

As the changes(oil+braided lines+plates) were fused together, I can't really comment on steel braided lines USP. Abhimanyu suggested me to go for steel braided lines and he's been using HEL brake lines. He ll be the right person to comment on that.

Yes, it's a makeshift ABS I ve been using for last 2.5 years. It was and is effective (reduces wheel locking in panic braking).

                            • is it normal for the rear suspension to get compressed to the max if i go over a speedbreaker or big pothole at around 50?

                              • Issues With R15

I am an owner of R15 v1 and I have done around 14000 kms on it, However I dont know much about the mechanical side of the bikes apart from the fact that I love riding. I am facing a few problems with the bike recently and I would like some expert advice.

                                1. I had to change the rear brake pad at 9000 km and now at 13500 km. Is this Normal? I used the genuine Yamaha spare from the showroom.

                                2. Mileage drastically dropped from 41 Kmpl to 32 kmpl in cities after the periodic service done at 10,000. Complained about it to the service center guys, however they haven't been able to fix it yet. I do rev up the engine to over 7k rpm every now and then right from the time I bought it.

                                3. The chain keeps loosening after every 300-400 km or so, Do I have to change the chain and sprocket?

                                4. Gear shifting has become very annoying, not at all smooth and sometimes I have to literally kick the shift pedal for it to shift, which is fixed temporarily during service and goes back to the same condition after a few hundreds of kms.

Apart from this the bike is doing good, no problem whatsoever with the pickup and speed. Kindly Advise.
