review about the sprocket issue.

Thanks for your help. I will gain some where round 11.40% torque and 11.40% top speed gets decreased 13/44 Sprocket on the stock.
Here is after some experiment that I have done (mainly logical):
1. With stock sprocket on stock R15 top speed: 145.5kmph
2. With 13/44 Sprocket on stock R15 topspeed: 129 kmph
3. With 13/44 Sprocket on Mod R15 (almost with joel setup apart from the piston) topspeed: 148.3kmph
4. With 13/47 Sprocket on Mod R15 (almost with joel setup apart from the piston) topspeed: 138.9kmph (Rear sprocket of new R15 v2. I think the front sprocket of r15 v2 is 15)
As per the above details if I want to I can go with the 4th option also I think is it correct???
Currently I am thinking of the 3rd option.
Somen :  I am sorry I was actually talking about the speed that is @ 6th gear and max rpm. I think we can clock 140+ in stock not very sure. This is mainly to gain acceleration.
chiku181 : I am not sure if that would make any big difference. It is mainly 2 to 4 KMPL difference in millage and for my bike it is not a problem at all since it gives me a millage somewhere around 45 -47kmpl in street and on highway 47 to 50KMPL.

Guys what are the things that i need to check out before buying a 2009 august r15 with 20k kms on the odo... I am more worried about fuel pump... Please help me fast

A stock R15 can easily do 130kmph any day. Beyond that the acceleration is very slow n it requires some effort. I've seen a no of bikes clocking 145kmph, even my bike(stock) does after 3yrs and 7 months. Ofcourse I'm talking about speedo mentioned figures

Err.. doesn't acceleration come under performance.

How did you arrive at 11.40%?

Petrol level should never go below 2 litters (3 is better) in a bike which uses fuel pump. Because it may fry your fuel pump. Just give a search you will get the technical details.

I think there are many things which gather together to be called a Performance.

145kmph on stock.... with without any mods ?????

I guess bikes doing 145kmph are exceptional bikes, some God's boon to them.

Mine or in my neighbourhood none of the R15 have touched 145kmph.

Can I put 13/47 Sprocket on Mod R15 will that affect any engine parts??

hey friends, geeting a weird issue this days as i can see my front and rear tyre is more bald on the left side as compared to right side, i checked the forks, shocks, swingarm but still the problem continues. Also i observed under hard braking the front doesnt brake normal but its like the bike is more tilting towards left.

Its already 17k kms old. Will be changing the tyres soon. Please let me know what things to check for the tyre.

I have an issue with my beast. I have a blue r15 with ODO 11k.
When ever i slow down or use clutch (half) i hear strange noise.
Tak tak tak tak.
Can anyone help me out with it?
How to solve it or something like that

What exactly you are concerned about. Whether coolant circulation is functional?

Have you serviced the front suspension lately? This could be the culprit behind uneven tyre wear, unless the tyre is excessively worn.

Dude I had almost the same problem but nothing like one side of the tire getting bald.
I replaced the front and rear wheel bearing. It costs something around 300 rupees without labor.
But after this whenever I take off my hands from the handle then the bike tends to move automatically towards left even if try to move the bike with my body.
The problem was because of the difference between forks at the top of the handle the left was 4mm above then the right that was the reason the bike was moving towards left.
Try the above and then update some more details.
Or
Try this speed till 60 kmph and try applying only front brake and check if there is any wobbling or any kind jerks.
Then go at 60kmpl again and try to leave handle and see if the bike is straight.

Can't believe . As per your km's done after hitting the Reserve , You are getting a mileage of ( 124/1.90 = 65.2631 km/liter and if you had done 100/1.90 = 52.6315 km/liter ) . I guess you are the first R15 V 1.0 owner in INDIA to get these mileage figures Hats off to you !

Currently my bike R15(Joeled) has Motocool coolant and I am observing a weird behavior with the coolant level. After flushing the coolant in last servicing we filled Motocool in reservoir and radiator and left SVC( servicing done on 22nd June). After one week I noticed the coolant level at the middle of reservoir(after around 160 Kms post run-in). I presume that we didn't top up after filling the reservoir and radiator and starting the engine. Topped up coolant on 30th of May till max level and continued. Today after a short ride, I noticed the level of coolant has again gone to mid level in reservoir and till now 320 Kms have been covered post servicing. I am not sure whether this behavior is normal. In this 320 Kms post run-in the fan kicked in only once and I assume coolant circulation is normal. I have a few concerns-
1) Is the head gasket not filed properly. Normally if the gasket's diameter doesn't match the 165 cc diameter, entire coolant would leak within a day or two. Also, I never noticed water or water vapors in exhaust,
2) If gasket is okay, is the coolant leaking. Since, we opened radiator , reservoir and refilled coolant , there's a chance of loose connection.
Is this behavior normal?
