My bike's done some 6000 odd kms and still havn't changed my oil filter nor did i lubricate the chain with a lube.. I lube it with the regular mobil used on regular chains...

Did the service center not object to your option of not changing the oil filter? As far as I know, service centers threaten to void warranty if the owners asks not to change oil filter in the first service.

Also, Is lubing the chain with mobil oil recommended? and since we are on the topic, what exactly is mobil oil.......the sae90 gear oil or used/new engine oil?

What speed were you at when you bumped into the pothole? Try to slow down to 60 or even less when you see a pothole. I dont think that the Yamaha service center will repair your rim for you. The best that they will/can do is to replace it with a new one. Try to get it repaired outside, but be prepared if your tubless tires loose out on air every couple of days as a bent and repaired rim can never be brought back to its original form. Try this and revert back

    • Thanx @Parth

I was driving at around 85.......yeah will slow down....but at high speeds....at times it s inevitable......But its a minor bent in the wheel.....i want to repair that to prevent further damage to my tyres....so i dont think replacing is an option ??

Anyone knows...where to repair the alloy wheel in bangalore....Has anyone done that???

Why do you ask? your speedo went bonkers too kya?
The speedo sensor costs Rs600 and is covered under warranty. But the warranty extends only to manufacturing defects i.e. if the sensor has sustained any sort of physical damage then the svc will not replace under warranty.

My speedo just stopped today. No reading on the speedo or the odometer(the odometer isn't recording new readings but it still sustains till 2976km). The engine warning light came on while I was commuting back from office. I stopped and switched off everything and started again so that the self check could be done. There were no problems in the self check and I headed back home. I'm taking my bike straight to the service center in the coming week. Meanwhile I'll use other means for commuting to office.

About refinement no doubt R15 would one hell of the bike. but just that 150cc tag and the rear tire is holding me back. Also the price. Lets see how it goes in the coming months. i may go for R15 or P220F

The mechanics out here aren't much educated about the technology advancement... Yeah oiling my chain with the used mobil that comes out of engine! Going for the servicing this Sunday (Sunday is a working day in Nepal) I will be asking them to change my bike from Bajaj back to Yamaha..coz seriously its been behaving like one!

@rakowli: The true speed as claimed it to be 135kph (undermining speedo error) .. but i have seen youtube video where the stock one were making close to 150.. I have personally done 127kph and i felt the bike would go still further.. but i ran out of roads... will break my speeding milestone soon...

whats the pressure u fill in...cause i read someone here fills f 33 and r 38 cause of some reason i couldnt understand.....
Standard pressure is 28 front, 33 rear.

If you can't see a leak, its either from the beads or the valve. Get the tire re-laid in the alloy at the svc.

As far as front forks issue , I didn't do any wheelie stuff.... Normal rides for couple of hundreds on weekends last two weekends and started facing this issue.
How much does the front forks assembly cost?

For TB slip on... I have the stock one but looking for a good exhaust system. Just evaluating my options
Maybe its a combination of loose steering bearings and low front tire pressure.

It costs about 600 bucks & is covered under warranty.
My bike's speedo too started showing erratic figures around 10k mark, & i got it replaced FOC under warranty, at Perfect Riders.
It seems like your bike has crossed the 2 yr warranty mark, hasn't it?
