Got it serviced at Pacer huh? Check if idling is low. Recommended idling is 1.3k-1.5k RPM.
Is the problem similar to this: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/help-me/...-stalling.html ?

    My views on the YZF-R15 V2.0: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/198...tml#post699240

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

It does appear an older R1, unless the owner decided to get 4 lamps(through mods) instead of two.

      • Guys my second service is gonna be due soon. I'm thinking of going for motul 5100 v semi-synthetic oil this time. It's rating is 15w50.

Shall I go ahead with it?

        • hey guys am in a bit of dilemma......
my r15 is just 1 month old......yesterday i filled air in the rear tyre and found its pressure to be just 13!!! filled it up till 33......after 2 hours i again got it checked it was 22!!!!

so i went to yamaha service..he found a puncture on my rear tyre....an told me to get it fixed from outside...aprrently they dont do that....

got it fixed.....from a guy who knew how to work with tubless tyres.....now today morning i checkd the air...

and its again 25!!! i filled in 35 yesterday an now 25 again!!!

what shud i do....i got the whole rear tyre checkd yesterday at the puncture repair shop....and he mended the only puncutre found.....whats the reason of such a huge decline in air pressure in the tyre so suddenly.....

should i go to yamaha svc guys again...what to do???

yup very similar except that i don't have a fluctuating RPM or any idling problem , it just shuts down wen 1st gear is engaged ... but if u rev above 4k and then shift to 1st , it takes off and then runs fine ... totally stumped here
People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

            • Guys one issue with my friend's R15..

The bike will go off on its own automatically even while riding. Off in the sense all display and the engine will be off. No light will also come up.

After sometime when thumbed it will start and work like nothing went wrong and again this will happen after a while.

Could this be a problem with the battery (read dying) or some faulty/loose electrical connection?
              My thoughts...

It must be fuel mixing with water. Nothing to be done for it. Empty the tank, and re-fuel. Or wait for it to run out (meaning, ride hard till the tank empties ).

Its when the rpm drops, that the water-fuel mix isn't stable enough for ignition.

Either the puncture isn't repaired properly, or there are more punctures somewhere. Do one thing. Inflate the tire to a ridiculously high 50psi and pour soap water on the tire surface, the puncture area, the valve, and all along the tire-rim seat. You'll notice bubbling, and know where actually the air is leaking from.

How many kms have you done? Do atleast 6k kms before shifting to semi-synth or fully synth oil.

Yes, probably an electrical loose connection. Or Battery isn't sufficiently charged. Check the cabling to the ECU. Maybe its a loose connection there.
                You get the point?? :D

If battery isn't charged then i don't think it will let the bike start after getting off. And more over the bike was serviced some 1.5k km back so i guess the battery would have been charged.

The wire that is connected to the battery terminals, is that the main wire supplying power to all the elelctrical components?

I foolishly shifted to yamahalube semisynthetic oil in the first service itself, i.e. 1000kms. I dont think that shifting back to mineral oils would do me any good now that I'm closing in on 2000 kms on the semisynthetic oil.

                          So I ask again........shall I go ahead with the motul 5100 v?

                              • Replaced my rear tyre yesterday with the stock one as my old tyre had a puncture that was unrepairable (the tyres were pretty much worn out too). So decided to give samadhi to my old tyre by burning some rubber. The tyres lasted for about 17.8k kms which is kind of OK in my opinion. I got the tyre @ Rs 1250/-

                                Tyre after burnout:
