yes as long as you make sure you turn on the light only after bike is in motion

          hid ballast takes

6A-12A at the startup for 1/5th of a second
2.5-3.5Amp normal once bulb is completely lit.

35W Halogen bulb would take about 4-5 Amp constant. (correct me if i am wrong)

          • Arent 28/32 correct pressures?

I Run 29/33 in all conditions and it works for me.

            • i think 29/33 is the correct pressure, right?

                • Hi to all!!!!
I've completed around 900kms in around 40 days(studies to be blamed) and got first service done at 800kms. Bike is being driven as per manual.

Here are my few observations which i would like to share..

                  1: When the bike is pushed/disturbed a little(when it's off), a sobbing sort of sound comes(like it's crying)

2: Rear brakes are just inffective, just no action on pressing 70% of pedal nd on pressing further breaks just lock in and result in a skid.

3: After 7k rpm, exhaust makes screeching metallic like sound which was really untolerable when heard with helmet romved(did on a deserted closed road)

4: Gears change with a loud thud and the operation is ROUGH. Can this be related to process when my brand new bike's right side cover was opened to replace a faulty rubber ring due to which oil was leaking(pics attached)

Please comment, are these things are normal or it's something to be concerned about!!!!!!!!!!

These things hurt all the more when i drive my friends 1200kms old p220. It's engine is dammn smooth and gearshift are excellent as compared to mine R15 and mind you, the bike has been ripped from first day itself.

Also attaching pics of my new blue muffler cap.

Can be a lot of things, people could help if you tell em where the noise comes from? Is it the wheel? (no worries, just clean and lube sprockets)
Is it the disc, bleed disc
Is it the tank, just pop open the tank and then close it again,
(You may also want to talk to your bike and assure her that you will take good care of her and offer her a tissue :P)

2: Rear brakes are just inffective, just no action on pressing 70% of pedal nd on pressing further breaks just lock in and result in a skid.
Rear discs arent supposed to have a lot of bite, this is in general interest of your future family.... when you say no action I am assuming it doesnt halt the bike completely, and to be honest I am quite ok with that....
Use front instead... (use it wisely though)

3: After 7k rpm, exhaust makes screeching metallic like sound which was really untolerable when heard with helmet romved(did on a deserted closed road)

Dude! Its run in time, what the hell are you doing beyond 7K RPM?

What rubber are you referring too? Are you talking about the small sheet which holds the case with the main assy? or something else?

1: sound comes from the tank and only when bike is off. The sound is jokingly reffered by friends "Ye roo kyo rahi hai???"

2: by no action i mean there's just no braking, then on further braking wheels get locked. IMO brakes shud have progressive action.

3: I just took it 3 times and that too for few secs. Even manual allows it indirectly.
The sound comes from exhaust only and is of engine only. I basically mean its really loud and intolerable. IMO it shud not happen for a bike which has it's powerband starting from 6-7k rpm.

4: Nope it's not what you are thinking. It's basically a thick black rubber ring of approx 1cm radius. I dont remember clearly it's function but the oil was leaking coz that ring was broken and to fix it whole right side assenbly was open up.
Grearshifts are really pathetic. Gears most of the time dont change in one go and it seems like i've to tap 2 times to change 1 gear.
Are those circular rings, clutch plates?????

Dude that is common..........you can eithe rignore the sound or just open and close the fuel lid of the tank.

2: by no action i mean there's just no braking, then on further braking wheels get locked. IMO brakes shud have progressive action. It's supposed to be that way, dont try to use just the rear brake to stop or to check if its working. The rear brake is just for slowing you down and to ensure that the rear doesnt skids in case of hard braking.

3: I just took it 3 times and that too for few secs. Even manual allows it indirectly.

IMO it shud not happen for a bike which has it's powerband starting from 6-7k rpm.I have that issue as well. Mine has done 2600kms. first service done at 1000km and till then I was keeping her below 4k rpm. after that I've slowly and gradually started to open her up. That metallic sound will turn into a more bassy tune after around 3-4k kms. My friend's 14k run r15 has a very bassy exhaust note as compared to mine.

Are those circular rings, clutch plates?????Hmm my gear shifts were hard uptill the first service. After that the shifts have been butter smooth. Although I sometimes get stuck in neutral while shifting up from 1 to 2nd. my advice is get your bike checked at a different service center and/or get the oil changed.

A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

The sound will come mostly when your bike has been sitting in the sun light for sometime. The sound is of petrol vapor escaping from the small vent hole in the lip of the filler cap.

But you haven't understood my rear brake problem, braking is such that it dosen't slows me down, but just locks the tyres(brakes bite in suddenly after pressing 70% of the pedal, before it there is just no breaking)
So I'm bound to apply fornt brakes even on slow speeds, turns, slush etc

Also can someone tell me what all factors lead to a notchy gearshift???
