Hey instead of goin for a new fork u can just get the bend removed right. It should cost u abt 300 to 500 rs thats all , mab be even lesserOriginally posted by Aparajith View PostWhat else... Its bent!
No accidents/no hits and no idea how but yes, its quite badly bent!
P.S: I was away and was not using it for 3 months.
u should wait and carry out the run-in properly the speed will increase for sure, and when u ride(after the run-in) be sure its an empty road and try to get the posture right it will reduce the air dragOriginally posted by HotAntivirus View PostToday I decided to check the top speed of my bike after class, so I took it for a spin on noida toll road. I was using full throttle and I was at about 8k-8.5k RPM, The bike went till 120 kmph but I couldnt take it beyond that I tried but max it was 120-122. There was no pillon rider with me and my weight i around 53 kgs. I've see people taking their r15's to 140-150 (stock). I wonder why I couldn't take it beyond 120 kmph.
P.S Odo shows 700 kms and I got 1st service done before 15 days.

Thanks svjhonda, I am more conscious on my bike performance and maintenance, therefore any minor change on bike or their behaviour cause of worry.Originally posted by svjhonda View PostNo, no, don't worry. My coolant reservoir had run dry at 1st service. Fearing the bike drinks a lot of coolant, I bought a bottle. Didn't use it till yesterday, and even then it had to be used for the new radiator I got, not because the level was low! So let the coolant go. Just check the level when the bike is vertical, and after the engine has cooled down.
Its recommended that the coolant be changed every 2 years.

Thanks for the suggestion, Will get it Fliped or changed this weekendOriginally posted by jd666 View Post@bhargava - Get your front sprocket checked, or flipped ( installed with the outer face on the inside ). That should help with loss of power at the top end, and a lower top speed.
Any idea how much does it cost ?

Thank you bro,Originally posted by svjhonda View Post
Congrats man! Enjoy the ride. In about a month, it will make you feel invincible. Don't let it go to your head. I paid for it twice (2 crashes)
And don't worry. What're we here for!
I still get scared of traffic and corners.....sometimes while taking slow corners uphill, I stall my R15...didn't had the guts to take her over 60kmph(new rider, new Bike...please help me to learn cornering
)
getting very low FE and a lot of vibrations at 2nd gear(in 20-35kmph region, 3.5-4.5krpm)
Also don't feel confident with a pillion.....feel like the Bike's becoming unstable(shift of C.G.).
This is my first Bike ever so a bit confused.....hope things will get straight soon.
Thank You

@bhargava - you can purchase it separately.
The R15 chain set can be purchased as individual parts, chain, rear sprocket, and front sprocket individually. I purchased my front sprocket separately.

Take your time and get to know the bike over time. Its always better to be confident about the speeds you are riding at (even if it is slow) while being 100% confident than getting overconfident & being careless. Getting comfortable with a pillion on the bike will also take some time. Dont worry, it happens to everyone.
Do read up on cornering. It will definitely help. Ride safe !

Hehe, me too. And best part is, the bike is so precise. Minor changes can be felt.Originally posted by JitenMistry View PostThanks svjhonda, I am more conscious on my bike performance and maintenance, therefore any minor change on bike or their behaviour cause of worry.
Just take it easy, and get used to it. You'll be amazed after 3 months. Riding any other bike will feel primitive.Originally posted by Prakritij View PostThank you bro,

RIDE SAFE
About the riding, get help from friends, but common stuff would be:
1) Everyone new to an R15 puts a lot of the upper body weight on the clip-on bars. Consciously avoid that. Try gripping the tank with your knees, or 'sit' on the seat, letting the bum take all the weight rather than the wrists.
2) The R15 is very high-revving. So on some bikes you can get away with lugging it at low speeds in a high gear, but this bike won't pull, and most probably will stall. So yes, you'll have to do a lot of gearshifting to stay in the powerband, but hey, that's what the bike is all about.
3) U-turns. Practice them. They will help you learn the dynamics. First practice with both feet floating (to support the bike in case it feels like its going to tip over). Slowly you'll get the hang of it, and you'll be able to do it without taking your feet off the pegs, and in some cases even by shifting your weight into the turn.
4) Practice using the front brake to stop. Ideally use 70% front and 30% rear (only on proper surfaces, on any loose surface, sand, gravel, mud, slush, tiles, marble, etc, use rear brakes, and go slowly). Peope will tell you a lot of stuff, but trust me, the R15's front brake is enough to stop it from full blast to nil in just a few metres.
5) Avoid pillions. The bike isn't made for pillions.
But yes, having pillions will help you improve yout handling.
6) As for cornering, take it easy, do it only when you have the confidence, do it safely, and yes, read up on cornering theory in the ride safe section.
I haven't tried it (okay, okay, I have!), but yes, its very much possible. The R15 has a resonator box mounted between the twin spars of the deltabox. It sounds great revving up.Originally posted by sheelpriye View PostDo you guys feel there is some sort of intake roar, akin to bigger cc motorcycles
(Honda and Suzuki kind of voices) when you open the throttle suddenly to the max at 2.5-3 K in 2nd gear.
You get the point?? :D

1) Loss of power (Sluggish), low Initials and Top end dies at 110kmph
2) Improper Idling
3) Clutch Issues
Parts replaced -
1) Engine Oil - Yamalube 15W-50 - 365rs
2) Oil Filter - 378Rs
3) Damper Clutch (4 No's) - 133Rs
4) Spark Plug - Iridium CPR7EA1X-9 - 528Rs
The Service Supervisor insisted to go for a Iridium Spark Plug replacement instead of a stock Spark Plug. According to NGK website Iridium Spark Plug Part number is CR8EIX, However Panache replaced with CPR7EA1X-9.
Iam wondering if they have replaced the compatible one.
After the service the bike is behaving good, still need to test the Top speed.
Will your warranty not get void.. since you missed a free service!!Exhaust Notes - The sweetest sound

Yes I am now Owning a Brand New 2010 R15
HI Guys,
Walked in to pick up Sunset Red and rode out with a Racing Blue.. The bike was reading 0.1 Km on the ODO...
Got the vehicle @ 2pm and Rode 114 kms on day 1
Expectation (pre - ride) = sore back / paining wrists / No first hand experience (as have never ridden a R15 prior to this one)
Post ride Experience - NO Back Pain, No Wrist pain... However the palms were paining a bit.. The bike felt good. Had to adjust the stance as was used to sitting on a "horse like" stance...
Ques1> Can the rear break lever be adjusted (inclination changed?)
Ques2> The foot-pegs keep bending upward... Can any one tell me why?
(i'm 5'8")
Thanks...
