May be your dealer is buying it from there, but being honest and charging you lower rates!
I would be very surprised if Yamaha or any of the other bike manufactures would allow so called non standard or bit defective pcs into market under their own brand let alone allow a dealer to buy the same from the market.....

              • @KASIF: thats really nice pair bro, kudos. But the projectors are really bigi as in comparison to the the size of the Head light, for my taste as such just what is seems from the pic, probably it must be really nice in person though, I think the projectors are 3" inches or more in diameter.
you should have gone for a pair of angel eyes as well, since they compliment each other very well.
The throw must be really nice though.

i would suggest you to go any re-soldering tyre shop and ask them to cover the hole with a patch from inside. And solder the tyre from outside

DO NOT ride the bike in the condition you have shown in the photo... It is extremely dangerous to do so even at moderate speeds... and your option of cutting the nail off and leaving it in the tire is an absolute NO NO....

                  Thanx for the reply guys.
I think its better to change the tyres. One more question... Has the price of rear tyre increased???
Cause 4 months ago when I enquired about it at the MRF showroom they said its 1350 and now they are saying 1650...

                  • hey i dont know about the price but last time when i had my bike serviced i saw another R15 with a MRF 100X80X17 Zapper tyre with tube, the owner of the vehicle said it was doing good. take decession from other members too and finalise.

                      Disc Plate:
                      1. 2009 model imported from Indonesia - cost: Rs1250/-
                      2. 2010 model made in India - cost: Rs700~

My bike is 2009 model and I have to use the Indonesian disc plate as the new 2010 model bikes are equipped with Indian made disc plates with some minor design change. Got this information from svc.

                      Disc Pad:
                      1. 2009 model imported from Indonesia - cost: Rs750~
                      2. 2010 model made in India - cost: Rs350~

There is no design change in the disc pad, so I picked the 2010 pad.

                      Review:
I felt the braking has become worst. It is very hard and not effective. Felt like drum brake.
Seems like no more stoppie's in my bike.

Is this what you guys feel?
You changed the disc plate pretty soon!
So does this mean that the older R15s like mine (2008) can use new disc pads but need to use old disc plate?
                      Quench my thirst with gasoline!

                        • the looks are bit different and they look good, if the lights would have been little small they would have looked even more better, but by the way how's the lighting? what does it cost? does it drain the battery?

                          • They are Audi A6 Motorized Bi-Xenon Projector hence the size.Besides i bought these projectors for my car.at the moment using Philips Rally H7 80W Halogen in both. left size for low beam. right side for high beam. no battery drain since only one bulb is lit at any given point except when pressing pass button.

regarding the light output only one side is enough to illuminate 60ft wide road. other side i have focused to teach lessons to truckers and cars who refuse to dip. 1st flash as request to dip. 2nd flash as warning to dip. Still if idiot refuses or does not pay attention then put on second light and enjoy his condition. luckily i had to used this method only thrice.

                            Pair of Phillips 598 Rs
Pair of Projector 3500 Rs including shipping.
                            Pair of H7 Adapter - 60 Rs
8 Big Screws - 40 Rs and about 18 hours of spare time
no labor cost since friend and me did it our self.

                            Things to do
HID mostly will go with OEM(Hella, Denso) or Phillips

Does anybody know where can i find D2S adapter for HID bulbs in Bangalore and what is the cost.

My bike clocked 19,500kms. Changed the pad last time in 12-14,000kms. This time was riding with worn'd pad for some kms. So had forced to change.
All R15's can use new brake pads, but 2008/9 R15 cannot use the new disc plates.
