And now after it was cooled there r circular lines on the disc which wont go?? and the breakin feels not that effective what should i do? i changed the pad just last week
Open the rear caliper and inspect the pads and disc. It may be a deflected (out of alignment) disc, your foot might have been on the brake lever, or the lever might have been stuck. Because the brakes were working for a really long duration to get that hot.

Congrats man! Enjoy the ride. In about a month, it will make you feel invincible. Don't let it go to your head. I paid for it twice (2 crashes)

And don't worry. What're we here for!

Seems like no more stoppie's in my bike.

Is this what you guys feel?
Whoa! I didn't know the disc is new for 2009+ models! Will check the new disc plate.

And I can vouch for the new brake pads guys. I still have the packaging which has Yamaha Singapore on it (I'll post an image). So it doesn't make sense to get KBX to make pads, ship them to Singapore and then import them again. Otherwise, why would the box say Yamaha Singapore?

Braking is top notch. I'm extremely happy with it.

@ Sakthi- bro, try getting the brake line bled. Maybe that'll enhance braking.
        You get the point?? :D

Sakthi_nj has posted the prices of every brake related item one page back.

1250 I think, for the old (2008 & 2009 models) bikes, with a different disc, and 600 for the new ones.

I think, by new ones, Yamaha means the 'true racing colours'. Since that lot, bikes and components were made in India.

                  • yup, got the bike fixed. Good as new now.

I had the gloves on that day in my bag and was thinkin of wearing them. But, didn't wan't to attract attention .
90% of my injuries could have been avoided if I was wearing gloves.

So, my new resolution is to wear gloves no matter what and look cool too.

                    • Does anyone know how the electrical connection for the fuel pump comes off? There's a little cover kinda thing, and when flipped open, I saw 4 wires. Now does the black thingy come off as a whole, or do I need to pull the wires out individually?

I think it most probably has to be removed individually, but didn't have the guts to do it (had college and wasn't willing to try experiments.)

                                Correct pressures are:
                                28 psi front
                                33psi rear
Both pressures on cold tires (run under 1km).

                                I run:
                                30 psi front
                                35 psi rear
(Above pressures for dry conditions. I lower them to 28 front, and 28 rear for wet riding)

@ Sheel- how many kms covered? And done any burnouts?
