Simple-just get the sensor cleaned in case muck is getting it stuck.
If that doesn't solve it, maybe the sensor is gone-I think the cost is around Rs.460, tibby can comment since he got it changed.

+1-I had to literally beg them to grease the swingarm.
Every time I mention coneset greasing, they run for their lives!
But I have made up my mind-22K kms., this time I'm gonna make them do it!

I checked the price and its somewhere around Rs. 600.

ASC doesn't even think/look and are adamant on replacing it.

hmmm..point will be considered..it could be one reason..
btw if not this then what else could cause this??
does the afr have anything to do with this??
a clogged Throttle body can also cause this, so after changing the fuel if still the problem exist tell your mechanic to open the throttle body injector and clean it. Keep us updated

I understand the moisture is normal. But after the waterwash i could see atleast 50-100ml of water under the reflectors on both the sides. Bike was not used for almost 1.5-2yrs. I'll check what steranm has suggested.

            @JD

Will this in anyway damage the electricals? I can only replace them next month or soo. Already blew up my savings up

Hope the speedo issue is fixed on Harsha's bike under warranty-I remember his bike showing 199kmph on our Pocharam rides!
As for the headlights, the below reply is correct. I don't bother about it much. I have even seen moisture droplets in the speedo after riding in very heavy rains. Everything dries by the next morning.
Ya, that problem was fixed long ago. Funny that ride was and i miss kriss

All the water got dried up by evening. My only worry, will it short any of the wires during rains! I have visited the SVC two times in the past 3 days and i forget to get the chain cover checked :P

By the way am planning for a weekend Long ride either Hyd or to Tirupathi.., is it ok to go 1500+ on the new Bike which hasn't gone for the service yet??:confued:
            Congrats!

I'll advice you to wait till you get the 1st service done. Only for two reasons 1.engine gets the time it need and 2. you'll get used to the riding position.

Nothing will happen, don't worry. Mine always gets wet&dries on its own. No electrical problems yet.
More importantly, was the bike's radiator replaced FOC when Yamaha went around calling all the old owners? If not, try it now atleast-I thought mine didn't have a problem but when dismantled, it did have a small leak which would have turned into a major one eventually.
Cost of radiator if paid is around Rs.5,700 I think.

Yeah, it was Pearl. But now I have a dedicated mech. so he'll do whatever I ask him to.

                  • Picked up the bike on monday. It had 7.6k kms on the odo and the last time it was serviced some 6 months back and had done only 1000kms. Took her straight to the SVC and got these changed

                    1. Mirror set - 500rs (lots of paint peeled of from the mirror stems)
                    2. Windshield - 128rs + 200rs for some sticker and no plate (rusting of no plate)
                    3. Exhaust Shield plate and end cap - 330rs + 150rs Scratches!

Wanted to get few more thing done, but mechs were busy! So thought i'll get the rest of the things done later.

Did 160kms trying to get used to the bike and on the lookout for problems. Took her to another SVC (patny motors) nearby yesterday since i noticed few things.

                    1. Changed the front disc pads - 430rs
                    2. Coolant top up
                    3. Chain adjustment and
                    4. Horn

Gave the mech 50rs since he did not even ask money for labour, heck even for the coolant. And he kept calling me and showed what all he was doing. I liked it.

And today i went to get LED position lamps. Roamed around ramkote for a good half hour and surprisingly all em have the normal single led lamps only. Only one guy had few varities. I picked up this one, not what i had in mind, but it would do the job for now.

This is the same one i got - 150rs a pair. (ebay price 400rs)

Parking Powerfull 9 SMD Leds Bulbs Fr All Bikes - White | eBay

While changing the Pilot lamps i noticed that brake oil was leaking from the reservoir cap. was leaking heavily but no problem to braking. Took her to another SVC (Chrome yamaha, Liked the ambiance there ) Mech just opened up the cap, removed some oil and it was normal again. No leaks after that so far. Asked him the reason, he said the mech might the pushed the piston too far, back pressure or something might have caused the oil to leak. I dont know if its a valid reason, but it did work!

Bike has done 250kms so far and i have done 60-80kms on it. My friend is using it currently!

you may have to remove the tank and take out the bee as maybe it is still floating on the oil(not sure). empty out the tank to a bottle to hold the petrol, remove the bee and/or any part of it, clean the tank, fit it back and fill it

                      • That is really funny, but the answer is even more:
Rip the bike well, make sure that it acts like a mixie&the bee's whole body is crushed into dust!
Remaining the fuel filter will take care of.

Jokes apart, if you cannot see it by opening the tank, then just ignore it. I don't think anything major can go wrong.

Thankx Bro for info! I tried to remove that manually but I didn't see it floating! Won't fuel filter get blocked?

                            • It can be done, since the lever is the same as the gear lever. I have got mine lowered since I was unintentionally 'riding' the brake pedal.

Old engine oil, loose engine mounting bolts, loose tappets could be the reasons-check all.

It is common in all bikes-no need to use any injector cleaners upto 20K kms. atleast. If you want, you can use Extra Premium fuel which has additives premixed.

                              4. On day 2 i noticed that there was a flap in between the%2
