  • ^^JD Bhai, Sarvajit bhai and others, please help me out on this...

Since few days whenever I rev the bike past the 5k rpm mark,I feel vibrations in my bike's right foot peg..This vib is also making me loose confidence in revving the bike to higher RPM's..

Tibby bhai told me ealier to check on the nuts holding the foot-pegs and tighten them but still it feels the same...

Is it a resultant of loose manifold bolts or any other reason.
(Had planned to tighten up the manifold bolts the previous week but couldn't do because of other commitments).

After cranking, does the electrical checkup also get restarted, and does the yellow and red indicator glow for a second or two??
If this is happening, then its definitely a battery issue...get it recharged.

    • ^^ number of kms done, last service, chain tension, cleanliness condition etc.

Excessive vibes are generally due to the chain too tight or too lose, and the front sprocket worn out if not due to engine mountings.

        No. of kms:approaching 9k
Last service: done in june end (4th service)
chain tension:it was tight but got it rectified.
        cleanliness:I generally keep it clean.

There aren't any excessive vibes and the bike is pretty smooth throughout the rev range but there is a noticeable vibration present in the right foot peg at a certain rpm range (post 5k) and specifically in 3rd,4th and 5th gear.
Showed them to the SVC and they told that its the engine mounting bolts loose.

JD has given you all the possible causes. Its mostly the engine mounting bolts I feel.
I have also felt the same before service quite a few times&all vibes were gone post that.
However, my bike is dirty most of the time-I have stopped caring for it like earlier. Chain gets lubed once in 3-4 months&the bike gets a wash, that's it.

well if no electrical problem then try getting fuel from another petrol station i.e. only after you finish the fuel in tank now, and run around 20kms in reserve, after that get the refuelling done.

            • yesterday got my R15 serviced service manager said at 10000km i have to do full bike greasing to increase cone set life and smoothness so i said do it. they opened both wheels did greasing changed shocker oil serviced them. greased cone set and everywhere where greasing is required. got a bill of rs 1215 [450 for SS oil, 150 for lubing and rest 615 for greasing and all. have you done that? or any service center asked to do that.??
and yes last time i used Motul 300V fully synthetic used it for 3000+ kms and changed to regular service centre yamalube 15W50 semi synthetic this time. according to me yamalube is better bike revs more. Motul gave some unusual heaviness to bike. so now i will pour yamalube everytime. i found it better for me. i poured 300V cause i rev bike more 90% gear shifting goes in redline + i try to keep RPM above 7k. but yamalube also serves the purpose though it detoriates around 1500kms. while 300V is good on that it holds more but heaviness is what i didn't like of it.

hmmm..point will be considered..it could be one reason..
btw if not this then what else could cause this??
does the afr have anything to do with this??

Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!

Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

                            electrical wiring prob??

if you have to change the whole console, you will lose the odo data.

                              • @rythmrana - Yes greasing should be done at about the 12,000 kms mark. Good to see a dealership taking active interest in it. Here we gotta tell them to do it and actually stand and get it done!!
