May be that's a better thing to do. spray paint. I saw two bikes done with black spray paint on the visor. They give a good tinted kind of feel from distance. Not bad from near too.Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostHow about gettin a can of black spray paint and spraying it all black?

Proud to be in the yamaha family !! R15 totally RoCkss !!
Hey all !!!
this is Sanket from delhi. i dont know if this the right place to write all this, but just wanted to share with the yamaha family here about how it is to be a new r15 owner...
got my baby on 19th of this month.. i m member of xbhp past few weeks but never actually wrote anything, and this is my first post and i m truely liking this gr8 community which brings all the ppl with same interest together..
it is for sure that its the most prideful thing to be a member of yamaha family, r15 is so so amazing machine that the true experience cant be shared by words...
i was really really confused earlier about the same old question .... r15 or p220 ? but i didnt post anything here regarding it bcoz we all know that it is the most hot topic of all times and we already have a lot of content about it. so i just went through a lot of pages and finally realised on my own that wat m i doing by comparing these two makers who have a difference of about light year !!
m not against bajaj at all , nor p220. they are gud.
but its just the huge difference between them which actually puts one of them on the true side of biking and the other on the side of just business for usual ppl..
i test rode a lot times these two machines, and truely speaking ! r15 has unexplainable qualities and p220 has just one of those quality, and that is just just raw speed. it seems like its just a machine produced to satisfy a segment of ppl who just want to fulfill their desire for speed...
BUT no !! its always not just about speed .. a true biker will always know wat he wants out of his bike..
yamaha has taken the standard of indian motorbikes to a really high level after bringing r15 which is true sense of riding.
this bike actually gives you a complete pack of satisfaction... a yamaha rider wont really compare his machine with anyone.. but a p220 owner will always try to compete r15 just to prove that he is stronger!! which is actually a tight slap for bajaj bcz being a 150 cc bike,r15 has really shaken all the other maker completely. comparing a 150 machine to a 220 is totally of no sense, but still yama accepts it and actually takes the lead in all ways.. p220 is nothing in front of r15 when it comes to actual riding.. and by that of i m not talking just about initial pick ups or just the sound etc..
fewwwwhhh ..... i just realised where this thing is going... pssst.... so i'll just keep my things back to the main topic..
its been over a week on this bike now. i had TVS apache 07 made before this... so its very obvious that the switch is really a drastic change for me.
i m enjoying every inch of this bike on every little segment of road.. corners are now my best frnds
... the feel of riding is really awesome !!
the position makes you feel like a bullet...
i have a GPR helmet with a huge red dragon print on it.. wont say much about it on my own but it is really attractive and ppl usually notice it in crowd.. but now after this bike.. its like a complete pack and i can easily notice ppl noticing me on every stop or pass by .. the head turns just make you feel like the money invested for this baby was worth !!!
i have got the sunset red color. recently got the tank protector attached .. and will be getting the rear seat cowl soon..
i dont know if ppl are going to read this HUGE post .. so i'll just stop here and will be sharing more experience as i get old with this gr8 gift !!
take care all .. happy riding !!Ride what you Love !!
Love what you Ride !!

@sanket: Congratulations on joining the crowd. You'll be greatly pleased with your ride and she'll perform her best, as and how you pamper her.
One word of caution though, the bike handles very differently from other Indian bikes and so be very carefully when pushing the limits. I feel the weakest link will be the rider and hence many cases of accidents with new owners

In fact it handles the best amongst all the indian bikes (save the NINJA 250) , and one can drive it much more confidently.Last edited by rennycornelius; 03-31-2010, 12:26 PM.The Magician"

Ninja 250 is NOT an Indian bike&on Indian traffic laden roads, Ninja's handling will come nowhere near the R15's.Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostIn fact it handles the best amongst all the Indian bikes (save the NINJA 250) , and one can drive it much more confidently.
Hope some Ninja owner hasn't seen this, else another debate will start!
