I remember when they launched Racing colours they changed the Yamaha blue to Racing blue. But I haven't seen any racing blue even in the showrooms.Originally posted by HydBiker View PostTo my info, there were no Blue bikes made in 2009. Even when we bought a bike in about September/October 2009 we got a 2008 model. We still bought it because the whole engine was assembled in Indonesia.
As HydBiker said they might have not produced any blue bikes in 2009. They should have started producing racing blue in 2010.

caught by cops!!!
Guys, i just want to share one experience with all. Today in afternoon i was caught by a COP as my yammie was new with all proper docs except the pollution one. He let me go
and asked me to stick the number plate on the visor as i have pasted it in the front mudguard he told me it is not OK
.
I just want to query that is it illegal in Delhi to keep the number plate on mudguard
and when should be a new vehicle be eligible to get the pollution certificate (after 3 or 6 months).
As i was going, as usual he ask about the average and comment on the tyres, i only passed a smile against it.

From :Delhi Traffic Police, New Delhi (India) - Number Plate of Vehicles Delhi
Woudn't know much about the pollution thing, i never got caught early and got it done after the first service, since then, no issues
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Pollution certificate comes with new bike from company is valid for 3 months however, i would advice to get a pollution certificate ...as traffic police does not understand the certificate comes with new bike from company...External pollution certificate it just 35 Rs. and valid for 3 months...Originally posted by deepu165 View Postwhen should be a new vehicle be eligible to get the pollution certificate (after 3 or 6 months).

The RTA rules are the same through india - Indian Motor Vehicles Act 1988. It is just that different states choose to enforce the rules at varying levels of strictness. For example, the AP RTA wants everyone to use only Arial Bold with thickness more than double te recommended size.Originally posted by deepu165 View PostI just want to query that is it illegal in Delhi to keep the number plate on mudguard

BTW, there are more rules to what you see in the above post. A few - the number plate must be rectangular, flat and maximum incline should be 30 degrees. That automatically disqualifies the number on mudguard in more than one aspect.
Your no-pollution certificate given at the showroom at purchase has a date on it. End of it you must get a pollution certificate outside. It is 6 months as far as I know. At least in AP. Even the certificates we get outside are valid for 6 months here.

Nope. Shade is the same. The photos you see have different exposure levels. I have put my 2008 Blue R15 beside a 2010 R15. Shade is the same.Originally posted by sheelpriye View Posteven the shade is different, isn't it?Last edited by HydBiker; 03-26-2010, 07:32 PM.

the closing chapter of my overheating problem-today ,after much waiting, the chief engineer from the company came to svc. i met him and discussed the problem. the svc is about 1.5 kms from my home and my bike was not yet warmed for checking an overheating problem . the engineer connected the fid and checked the coolant temperature-74 degree. he asked me to take my bike for a ride in the traffic.i did 10 kms in heavy traffic. now the temperature is 84degree. he said that things are just normal and i need not worry. but the petrol tank was quite hot. now i have decided to get this overheating thing out of my head. it was my suspicions that were overheating not my bike. i am no longer going to worry about this untill the overheating light lits up. peace of mind.superbikes are the biggest blunders on indian roads.

Should I be concerned about this issue??
Sorry for quoting myself guys, but this question of mine was left un-noticed on the previous page. Anybody cares to answer??

Dude , honestly speaking if your buying it from delhi and if you live anywhere near Rajouri garden, get it from "Delhi Scooter". the owner is a great person and stay in touch with him. he's also very strict in terms of customer service. As long as he's around, i dont think you should have issue with spares, this is the reason why I haven't had any issues till date.Originally posted by Parth View PostSorry for quoting myself guys, but this question of mine was left un-noticed on the previous page. if there's something they dont have, just talk to him, he'll let you know when can you get it, and you will get it

Thanks for the info buddy. I have a couple of follow-up questions on that:
1. When you say buy it form "Delhi scooter", I understand that this "Delhi Scooter" is a showroom. Where as I'm interested in knowing about the availability of the limited edition spares. Does this Delhi Scooter also have an Authorized Service Station??
2. Does every showroom dealer have an authorised service station? I heard from somewhere that in order to improve after sale services, vehicle manufacturers employed this method wherein they would provide dealership only to those people who are willing to open service centers also. Is this true? and if true, do all manufacturers adhere to this policy? Also, is there any law involved too or is it as per the will of the manufacturer to force every dealer to have a service station?
3. I live in Pitam-Pura region, so rajouri garden ain't that far. But comparitively, I have a Yamaha Dealer right in the next colony - Jinder Yamaha, Saraswati Vihar. I hear that his service station (Jinder Yamaha, mangol puri(near hyundai showroom) has one of the best infrastructure. I know an xbhpian who has residence in C.P. but goes to Jinder Yamaha for services. So what would you advice??get it from rajouri garden or Jinder yamaha?
4. Where exactly is the Delhi Scooter located? I'm not too familiar with Rajouri Garden, Although I see a yamaha showroom when I'm on the fly-over btw ESI and Mayapuri. Is that yam showroom the same delhi scooter??
