You sure? Cos the V2 has a 220mm diameter rear disk it is supposed to be bigger than the V1.Originally posted by JitenMistry View Post230mm diameter rear disc
The R15V1 manual says that it has a 203mm diameter rear disc

To all,
I have been facing this strange issue for a loong time now, the source has not been detected by the svc yet..
the bike misfires at a specific rpm, i.e. if i blip the throttle and let go, at around 3.2k rpm, i hear a knock from the engine..
also, there is a constant humming from sound coming (not fuel pump/petrol vapours) from the engine when riding constantly at 4-5k rpm in 6th gear, the sound was there from the starting but now it has gotten louder and can be hear in 3,4 and 5th gears also..
is this common?? what could it be??
after monday and tuesday, even the calendar says WTF!!

^^you are probably leaning out on sudden deceleration, dont worry its normal and happens in all bikes but its generally not noticeable. Are you running a stock exhaust??
the humming could be because of your chain rubbing on sumthin, had that issue wid my bike and it took a long time to figure out, start by checking the chain if it is fine then probe into other probable causes.Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a Ride!' -Hunter S. Thompson

Not exactly the same problem, But from past two weeks have been noticing
- The bike starts vibrating <not sure if it the fairing or something else> on 1st and 2nd gear above 5 rpm and above 7.5 rpm for 3rd and 4th. 5th and 6th are good but the whole ride feel is not the same.
- While deaccelerating after a rip, the vibrations again kick in.
- 1st and 2nd gear change have gone from 'click' to pressing a lever.
- 2nd gear unable to pick up at 15Kmph with a pillion.
This all after a service 500 Km back.
A week back, while starting the engine, a thud thud noice started coming in from the engine and it failed to start. I swtiched off the ignition, tried again. It started normal, but afterwards, every now and then, i feel that thud voice, which is now not that loud, but as if there is a stone roaming in the engine room. In all, the engine beat is not good. and no offence but i feel like am riding a bajaj instead of a yamaha.
Am pretty irritated, not getting time these days, might head to showroom on Saturday.
Someone has any clue on something specific i should get the attention of SVC people to.Ride On,
Akshat

Bumping once again. Any solution for this issue ?Originally posted by chiyaanchinnu View PostHello,
I own a 2011 R15... I am facing a engine stalling problem. Stopping the engine for 2-3 hrs after doing some 40-50kms, my bike does not start. And it needs a push start. Faced this problem twice. Any of you faced this kind of issue ? Help please."As long as there's a horizon and I can see it, then I want to know what's there, mentally, physically and visually" - rtwpaul
