I am facing an issue with Orange warning light.Warning light with error code 15(FID tool suggested Throttle position sensor) is popping up when I start the bike. Initial inspection at SVC by lead mech. suggested clogged protruded part of Throttle Position sensor in throttle body. As such, the throttle body was taken out and cleaned with petrol. However, even after cleaning the throttle body thoroughly, the error is still popping up. The Lead mech. says I ll ve to change entire throttle body as the Throttle position sensor cannot be changed individually. My bike is more than 2 years old and no more under warranty. Is there any solution other than changing the entire throttle body(can throttle position sensor be changed individually).

Your bike is under warranty and you know which sensor is faulty. Cross check with FID tool(don't know if they use the same FID tool for V2) and get it replaced under warranty. Check with all the SVCs in your city for the availability and find how long will they take to get the sensor. If the sensor is not costly, try to source it from some other city.Originally posted by Richie555 View PostHi frnds,

yes its just plug and play. I went for this because I replaced the High beam light with a 55W halogen bulb from Maruti Swift/Estilo and the tail lamp is 21/5W, so as not to stress out the battery much at low rpmsOriginally posted by neoakshay View PostI can't answer your query about removing the red plastic layer as I haven't attempted it myself. I have a question for you though.. Did you just replace the stock taillight bulb with the the LED bulb shown in the link?
the LED comes as a pair and you need to put one only. Its bright enough as tail lamp and brightens up like the double filament OEM bulb while braking.
I wanted to remove the red plastic as the LED lamp is red in colour and will be more bright if the plastic of tail lamp is removed.

ask the SVC to replace the console under Warranty. if they give you a hard time, send an email to regional Yamaha Office(only if they give you a hard time) and you'll get immediate response.Originally posted by Richie555 View PostHi frnds,

Peacei've noticed the same thing when i put the bike in neutral the engine feels rough gives a distinct sound(sounds like the bikes idling is too low nd the pistons are about to give up) nd when we pull the clutch it feels a little smoother and the sound is reduced...........i've heard this sound during idling on other r15s aswell......my frend's bike is 2 yrs old and it's more severe on his bike.......another frend of mine bought his bike a month after me(my bikes 5 months old)........he doesn't push the rpm to the limit whereas i love taking the bike to the red line...but my bike doesn't feel smooth whereas his bike still feels like new.......does reving the engine reduce it's smoothness?????Originally posted by HarishK View Post1) The issue points to Clutch bell/boss. How old is your bike? generally this happens mostly after you cover 15K Kms.
Cutch bell needs reconditioning (the rubber bush will be changed), in Chennai they do it in most of the svc centers, While some ask to replace.
Recondition 350/-, New Clutch boss 3K/-
I did recondition mine at 15K Kms and now it has passed over 40K still running fine
2) Stock 3.5 Amps Tata Green has not enough Juice for using all electrical at the same time. Its a known issue, use Amaron 5Amps the best fit.
3) Engine beat should not change thats Yamaha's TM. I have seen Pulsars and Apaches giving ugly revvs after the engine getting heated, while Yamaha engine come to life only after getting heated.
Check with the Service to see if you Bore Piston and Valves are in good condition.

^^check the brake fluid cylinder of the rear brake, that sounds like you dont have any fluid.Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! ^^ Angel eyes cost somewhere between 300-400 a piece, and projectors range from 1500 to 5000.
Do not put both angeleyes and projectors the angel eyes are plastic and will melt soon because of the heat from the projector.
You can get these in nanapeth in Pune.Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! Looking for some answers
Can someone answer my questions:Originally posted by HarishK View PostStock 3.5 Amps Tata Green has not enough Juice for using all electrical at the same time. Its a known issue, use Amaron 5Amps the best fit.
- How safe is it to use high rated battery ?
- Using the 5Amps battery will raise any electrical issues ?
- Any precautions/warnings/care should be taken before going for 5Amps battery ?
- Can you specify some advantages of replacing the stock with a 5amps battery ?
- Can I go for a higher wattage bulb if I switch to 5amps battery ?"As long as there's a horizon and I can see it, then I want to know what's there, mentally, physically and visually" - rtwpaul
