Replaced my Racing ball kit of R15, Headlight entire assembly with the black tinted windshield of V2, The front cowl of headlight assembly that i got dint had the white strip and R15 wrote like other V1 R15 has got, Got it 180 /- rs cheaper than the stickered one though.
Now she handles better. Any suggestion on how to remove small scratches sorrounding the tank and the dull shade happened in the area around the tank lid.

You can actually do some stickering job around the tank lid by cutting those carbon fibre look-alike paper foils and pasting it at the outlines of the fuel lid.
If done properly, believe me it looks pretty cool..

Ok thats super. I also get similar when i do outstation rides.Originally posted by free2rock_50 View Posti kinda figured it out .. guess its around 47km Per liter
Okay point taken. Even though, i am clueless as to why your tyres bunched up. Actually i had read your post when it was originally posted. But thanx for the response.Originally posted by akshay View PostFrom my post a couple of pages back. I strongly advise you not to change tyre specifications.

I installed Duro tyres rear 120/70-17 and front 110/70-17 on the original rims. The cost set me back a whopping Rs.8500/-. (Metro Tyres at Lamington Road)
As I continue to use the original rims, the rear tyre has 'bunched up' and I have ended up with a profile which is higher than the original 100/80 MRF tyre despite the new tyre having a lower profile. The front seems okay. This has slightly raised the height of the bike as well as causing the bike to lean sharper when on the side-stand. There is also a noticeable loss in speed when riding above 100kmph.
Any ideas how much a suitable rim for a 120/70 section tyre will cost me and where is this available in Mumbai or Pune? If available, will this rim and 120/80 tyre fit without modification in the swing-arm?
All in all, I think this is probably one of the most silliest things I have done and do not recommend this to anyone.
I recently did a short 150 Km trip to Pune and the angle of the bike ended up giving me a pain in the neck and back. Not to mention the drop in top speed - couldnt go above 115Kmph.
I have now reverted back to the original MRF Nylogrip Zappers R 100/80 and F 8/90 and the bike is immediately back to its old self. The tyre set cost me 3600/- from the MRF showroom incl. fitting.
@saikrishna-My front tyre{80/90/17}is going to cost me 1600 rs. I have confirmed with mrf delhi. If anyone screws with me on that quote, i am going to make that dealer sweat.I look my best when I take my helmet off after a long motorcycle ride. I have a glow and a broad grin. -JHW

Bro frankly, i tried all the centers and none did a good service like wakdewadi. In fact majority of pune xbhpians who own the R15 V1/fazer do regularly go there only and service and the guy nitin over there is very helpful and technical sound as per my experience compared to other svc centers.Originally posted by Nitin_traveller View Postanyone have any idea of a service center near WAKAD/ Hinzewadi/Aundh area in PUNE, where I can get my R15 V1 serviced? Too tired to goto wakdewadi/ MG Road everytime..
Yamaha riders is ok if you want just normal oil change, rest i would say avoid.
By the way you coming for todays G2G at roopali right at 8.30 pm ?

If you are adjusted with the sitting position than no worries as i have rode mine for 800 kms per day and it performed excellent without any stress.Originally posted by neoonwheels View PostSince this being the ownership thread, could you guys please let me know how comfortble the R15 V2 is if I take her on a long ride (300 KM in a day) ?
Also howz the overall on an average servicing cost of this beauty?
Servicing cost is 200 for chain spray, yama lube 450/- i guess and other labor and other 300/- Which is required at every 3000 kms.
Better buy tvs chain lube as that box costs around 300/- rs and is 450 ml and it goes for 20 times chain spray.
