    Thank you
if you wish to you can use full synthetic oil .. i would say to stick with Semi synthetic for some more time and than go with Full synthetic ..

I have started using motul 5100 4t 15w50 SS oil .. and my bike has become smooth .. so you could go with the same and it would cost you around 500Rs. (new stock price)

if you want to go with full synthetic .. got with Motul 300V 4T Factory Line 15W50 which would cost you around 900 Rs.

About the other brands i am not sure..

I found out that that Motul is the OEM for Yamalube. That is motul lubricants are repackaged as yamalube. So if thats the case yamalube 4t 15w50 semi-synthetic costs Rs.470 only.

Partially correct. It is true that Motul is OEM (blender) for Yamalube (about 7 - 8 years back it was Exxon), however, it is not true that Motul is repackaging its lubricants as Yamalube. Yamalube is blended as per Yamaha's specifications and the performance of the said oil to JASO and API standards is being guaranteed by Yamaha and not Motul. Just because the oil blending is being outsourced does not necessarily mean that its a repackaged product.

there is no problem in the fuel pump of the v1.. people are idiots and run the bike till its dry and then refuel..that spoils the pump..avoid it..
Thank you guys.... de prob is solved... & the culprit is spark plug adapter.. Service guy replaced it for free.

              Thank you sir .
It is good to know that its not as simple as repackaging. Adds faith to the USP that yamalube is engineered for yamaha engines, hence best.

Vandal congrats for having your bike problem rectified. Nonetheless i strongly feel the service guy is more smiling ear to ear...than you, especially after billing 2k for problems that didnt exist. He must have known it from the beginning. If you had read my earlier post in regards to your earlier post.

When i had said "heard", it was one of my trusted mechanic{who had worked at Yamaha, Naman Auto, Panvel,} who offhandedly mentioned {cautioned} to me about this while servicing my bike, after he had been sacked. It is one of those things they did to "unsuspecting" {naive} customers to squeeze money/ increase billing.

                • ^^^ I think you have been taken for a ride. The ECU cannot be remapped. Period!!! No 'ifs', no 'buts', no 'then', no 'or', period; it cannot be done. At the most he must have selected a different AFR setting.

If there is any problem with the setting, go back to the original setting.

When Yamaha and other reputed companies give figures and advices, you should remember they give it you based on their R&D; not some info that they had a dream about, that can get them sued if overly exaggerated. You can accept them with a pinch of salt, not a packet of salt. They say 3 months or 3k kms, whichever comes first; 3k kms is quite acceptable as the engine worked to cover that distance; but 3 months is vague if the bike wasnt used much. besides there are many parameters, and you can get an idea of them if you take the trouble of reading through the various discussions on engine oil here, or the engine oil bible.

Additionally, when you are in the free service periods, it maybe smart to use the cheaper mineral oil yamalube 20w40. Thats what i did, because after the 2nd or 3rd service, i was not even getting close to clocking 3k kms in b/w services. I was always clocking around 1.2-2k kms when the prescribed date comes compelling me to service.

Furthermore, after the first 2 paid services, i decided that i would be better of not going to the service center to have it done. Thats when i transitioned to the more expensive synthetic oil yamalube 15W50, as i was not compelled to service on a prescribed schedule. FYI: I had bought the bike from Naman Auto, Panvel, as that was only centre for yamaha in the whole navi mumbai then. Naman Auto Panvel has the world's shittiest ambiance {e.g-adjacent shop is a dance bar}, with the most uneducated , uncultured, and rude employees/ mechanics, who cant focus on their tasks with out going around eachother shouting the most abusive gaallis and 3rd class repulsive humor wasting 40% of the day. I guess the owners preffered such employees, as they could get away by paying low salaries; leading to unhappy employees and further deterioration in customer service. Anyways I had spotted two mechanics {swapnil and suresh} who were none of the above, but were decent and focussed on their tasks, so for every service I was hell bent for either of them to do it and no one else. I noted that for all their dedication they ended up being sacked, like a few others before and after them; because they refused to tamper with "unsuspecting" customers' bikes and increase billing.

                        • I have already posted My Bike Mileage in this thread !! 1 question arises for me !!

                          My R15 v 1.0 delivers me around 40 - 42 km/liter when it is driven @ 60 km/hr or below and 38 - 39.5 km/liter when it is driven above 60 km/hr - 75 km/hr and 35 km/liter is constant if it is maintained above 75 km/hr on City !! But , if i keep rev. the bike means i'm getting a mileage of 30 km/liter only !! [ This is on City Rides ]

90-120 KMPH---------------> 45-47 KMPL --> On Highways !! I used to do Minimum 90 km/hr and maximum speed i have done is 120 km/hr with my mom as the pillion [ I always used to travel with my mom ] , and I'm getting Minimum 45 km/liter , and frequently i'm getting a Maximum mileage of 47 km/liter !! [ Hope it makes you to understand ]

This is my Mileage calculation with full tank petrol till reserve !!
I repeated this experiment refilling petrol to full tank for " 4-5 " times !!

Note - " The real fact is My Bike Mileage varies as My Speeds varies , and i don't know why !! "

Please Help me - Is this mileage figures are correct ? Why I'm asking because , when i shared this to one of my friend he started laughing out loud !! I asked him why are you laughing , he replied your bike have got Fuel Injection and how can your " Mileage differs according to your speeds " [ How about you guys ? Does your bike mileage remains constant --> even you rev. up to 8.5 k rpm limit or above < --- or it varies according to your speed ? !! This started made me to worry from yesterday !!

1.Is there any problem with my bike's fuel injection system ?
                          2. Any problem with my bike's ECU ?
                          3. Or is this common for all R15 ?

                          Please Rectify my problem !!

                          • I don't feel shame to the problems Which i faced in my bike yesterday !!

Guys , don't laugh at me , As i don't have well wishers for my bike !! I hope R15 owners will help me !! [ I'm totally upset now because , till jan 27 th din't face a minor issue !! But yesterday I'm facing so many issues !! ]

My Bike ODO have done 11 k km & above !!

My Bike Speed "O" Meter got stuck @ 115 km/hr speed in doubles !! The speed was not increasing even i reduced the throttle and increased it again !!

                            Rider + Pillion weighted around - 145 kg's !!

And , My Engine heated rapidly with in 1.5 km travel !! Is this common for all other R15 ? ?

My self and other unknown persons owning different bikes were standing on the first line before the stop line !! [ Other bikes / Gear less scooters were - Splendor , Activa , Scooty pep , TVS - 50 and fazer !!

All these bikes went first Including TVS - 50 !! and i overtook them at the speed of 40 km/hr above only !! [ No one could catch me after i leaded them ]

                            I used to change the first gear at 4 k RPM and 2 nd , 3rd & 4th @ 5.5 k rpm and 5 th & 6 th gear @ 6 - 6.5 k rpm on city rides !!

My Question is - Why i was behind all of these bikes ? And i leaded them @ 40 km/hr above !! Whats the Problem ?? My Bike Pick up have reduced or Any problem with my Bike ECU or my riding style ?

Note - those bike started Rev . after seeing my bike next to them !!

Try using unleaded fuel instead of leaded, the bike is designed for this fuel.

Seriously, it's all down to your riding style, try launching yourself in the power band, like 6 k rpm and shift around 9-10k rpm.
Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

                                2. And other thing i noticed is , when i started the bike and i touched the Bore part after 15 seconds , the bore heated rapidly ----> is this common for all R15 v 1.0 ? Have any of you tested this :P !!

When i took my bike to the service center , he says my bike health is good , and its common for all R15 & nothing to worry ... Erm !!!!
