          Query.

          I have a R15 V1.0. Covered 2500kms on last oil change done by SVC. How long should an engine oil last. I'm planning to go to semi-synthetic and then further fully synthetic oil. Planning a Motul T5100 as suggested by Rob.
          I intend to do some Konkan touring soon so need my baby in good shape.


          Another poser query, Can my r15 V1.0 can be turned into r15 V2.0?

            It should last around 3000-3500 kms on an oil change.

            The tail cannot be changed,but the side fairings can be changed without too much trouble.
            No idea about the cost.
            Saw a pic of a white V1 with fairings of the V2. Looks good-ish.

                    Guys, would removing the catcon on a stock r15 improve the fuel efficiency and performance??
                    Also can come1 post a DIY on removing the catcon or a picture that shows exactly where the catcon is and what part of the exhaust would have to be welded apart to remove it??

                      I can post a DIY with Pics for removing Catcon from R15 stock exhaust, but need an approval from Modds. Pls get a green signal from modds. I will give you the thread with pics.

                        i dont think the modd's would have a problem, i hav applied for the thread to be approved in DIY section nonetheless

                            I have purchased and installed BAY15D 4W 126-Lumen 63-LED Car Brake/Tail Signal Red Light Bulb (Pair) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme this light as tail/brake lamp and its working perfectly in my V1.0
                            what I wanted to know is that, is the red plastic thingy inside the tail light cover is removable or not? it was required earlier as the OEM lamp was a halogen one but the one I installed mow is a LED in red colour and if I remove the red plastic, it will be more bright. has anyone done something like this? If yes, how did you remove it?

                              I can't answer your query about removing the red plastic layer as I haven't attempted it myself. I have a question for you though.. Did you just replace the stock taillight bulb with the the LED bulb shown in the link?
