                • Observations - first 250 kms

                  1. There seem to be a mild vibration in rpm range of 3k-4k during th 3/4th gears. I felt smooth after i cross 4k. Havent reached more than 5.5k in this gear range. First i wondered will this how this bike would be above 3k+ ? how would i do 10k if its like this. But the smoothness after 4.5 gave me peace of mind

don't worry.....it happened to most of us I think(even me) but after First Service it went away. tell the mechanic to tighten all the fairing bolts or else DIY, there's an allen key for the same in the tool kit

-> The vibration didn't seem to come from fairing, it was rather from the engine.

                  2. I was riding on rpm range of 3k-4k for some 15 mins and i slowed down to around 2k range in 1st/2nd gear. There seem to be blockage in fuel and the bike behaved as tho the fuel level is very low. The fuel was above F-. This seem to happen when i ride at constant speed and suddenly slowed down to 2k range. It does not happen when i start my engine and move.

does it happen all the time or occasionally?

-> Happened twice so far. The second time, the engine came to a stop. Would notice this scenario more closely and let know.

                  4. Planning to change my engine oil twice before 1000 kms/first service. I would ride to around 700-800kms for the first month. So when is the best time to make this first engine oil change.? Does it necessary to change oil at 1k kms even if the service happen at 800kms ?

do it as per manual in the first service

-> Changed it at 250kms/1 week from delivery as i preferred it to be cleaner.

                  5. Rear brake is so mild than i expected. Didnt work even like a drum brake Wanna check it during first service.

rear brake is spongy as in all sports Bikes. try using front and rear brakes in 70:30 percent ratio

-> Is there any particular reason for the rear brake to be set this way in sports bikes ?

                    • Guys any note on optimum rpm range to make gear shifts. Is there anything to be taken care in specific for R15?

I would love to read a article (like the ones in The Art Of Safe Riding) for gear shifts and things related to it.

Relax dude everything is normal you are apprehensive because the bike is new, Nothing to worry about.
In sports bikes the riding stance is forward biased, while braking, the front gets loaded while less weight is transferred onto the rear so to prevent locking the rotor diameter is lesser, with usage you will start getting the feel of the rear brake it's new so that's why not that effective, once it gets run-in it won't feel spongy.
Congrats for your new bike. Ride Safe.

For me upshifting @ 4000rpm gives me better mileage, while in run-in don't rev it past 8000rpm and also avoid prolonged high revving. If you go by manual then don't rev it past 5000 for 1st 500kms and 7500rpm for next 500kms.Read the owner's manual CAREFULLY.

I guess they do it on some automated spraying machines by the designs made in a computer.
Does anyone have any idea how they do it.
Where can I find such a paint shops in HYDERABAD ?
If there is whats the damage on these kind of jobs ?

                              Thanks in advance

                              • Hey Friends, I did a complete diesel wash of MY R15 yesterday evening and after giving a good wash went home and parked her. Today morning as i started her to go to my office, i observed that the front break lever has become too hard, and even the bite of the front and rear brake is not as powerful as before. There is no squeaking noise or anything, wondering what can be the reason that the disk brake is not working that effective and the front disk operation is too hard today.

What shall i do as i recently bleeded my brake fluid and refilled it.
