If you are looking for stock tyre, then go to jc road.. you'll find plenty of tyre shops... its available in almost all tyre shops... I bought the rear tyre a few days back in jc road only.. i paid 2000 INR.. try to bargain as hard as you can..
A crash on d road may kill d biker n d bike, but d relationship btwn d bike n d biker never dies.

Its only next to d relationship btwn d mother n her baby.

I need transport my R15 from Bangalore to Mumbai. I would love to hit the road and ride to Mumbai but unfortunately that cant happen due to time constraint.

I am not too convinced by sending my bike in train as I wont be travelling by train.

Please suggest me any good packers and movers who will do it professionally. If anyone here has good experience with packers and movers service, please recommend.

I checked with Gati, but they dont provide any packing service.

Looking forward to hear from you guys.

        Cheers,
        Arnab
If you want to do it cheaply, send it by bus, speak to sharma transports of bangalore they have buses that only carry cargo. Best to remove all your fairings and pack them in a box.
Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

You have not mentioned how many kms you have done on the current chain, secondly have you tried using chain cleaner and than after warming up the chain lube it. Thirdly check whether the chain setting has come to last point.

@onefive - one suggestion is if you are travelling in train than go for train which has a parcel van so you are sure that your bike is in the same train and you can go to check it also. Once you get down to mumbai post a help request to mumbai offline g2g members so the closest person will help you out.

            • My bike's shocks are acting weird. They are make some weird noise when driving through potholes and have become rigid. They exactly make the sound of how pulsar's shocks make when driven through uneven roads. My bike has done 8800 Kms in one and a half year. What can i do to get the smooth feel back?
Fun begins only after 6K rpm.....!

if you are talking about a "squishing" like sound, it is normal...i've had it ever since i got the bike..
report back with more details on the sound if the above is not your case..
check the air pressure, over inflated tires give a bumpy ride..
after monday and tuesday, even the calendar says WTF!!

                • Does Anyone know about Rear Fender Eliminator / Tail Tidy kit available for R15.
Also, does Pulsar 135LS tyre hugger a direct fit on R15??

I thought to cut the rear fender just below the number plate mounts but on close examination, I found that it would look more ugly...

                    • So after 65K odo read, looks like my front shock absorbers have run out of their life. Anyone have any idea what would be the cost of oil seal and refilling ?

                      • Friends, last Week I took her for 7th Servicing and got it delivered on Monday
after a small accident the LHS Clip-on got a little bent which I asked them to rectify and they replaced it. However they didn't tighten the bar-end weight allen bolt and I found it missing Today. Luckily the bar-end weight was there.
since this is a fault of the SVC do I have to pay for a new allen bolt?
I am not worried about the cost, what I am worried about is their lack of sincerity in the work.
I asked them a lot other things to do for the Service and I am afraid if they did a similar shoddy job for the others too.
I know I should not contact Yamaha for petty matters like this but what if they left a Engine mounting bolt loose or a Wheel comes out like the allen bolt?
attached is the Job list which I feel they overcharged me. Total charge for the Service was INR2026. I am ready to pay but I want Good results too. Please comment

Bro earlier it used to be smooth sound. But now it isnt easy on the ears and its more of a "Khat Khat" kind of sound. Even i am confused!!! Another friend of my rode my bike after a long time and brought it to my notice.

i do feel they have overcharged..strangely enough, i had inquired about the cone-set greasing in the svc here yesterday, the supervisor said it is around 110/-Rs. though he wasn't sure..whatever it is, it won't be 4 times that price would it?? will confirm day after tomorrow if reqd..
surprisingly, here they charge me 225/-Rs. for chain clean and lube(the white yamalube one) and your bill says they charged 150/- only
they charge 125/- for the motul one here..

does the khat-khat sound seem to be coming from "under the seat"?? if yes, it comes from quite a few R15s for unknown reasons..some say the mono-shock link is responsible for it..not a performance related issue though.. have you been riding in the rain recently??
get the bike washed and the swing-arm greased..should solve the issue..

meanwhile, guys I wanted to let you all know that for the past 4-5 months i have been using a 60/55W philips halogen bulb on the LOW BEAM without any problems as such..though at idle, it seems as if it is under strain but hey, many idiots ride on high beam all the while, do not switch the lights off on signals and they too do not get any issues afaik..
it is surely strained when on high beam (55+35W) at idle..but no issues whatsoever while riding (high or low beam) have done highway rides, city rides with the set up, no issues at all if certain precautionary measures(like switching the light off at signals, etc. ) are taken..
and as rumored that the reflector will melt and all, no such thing happens...
the spread is pretty good, perfect for city riding but still sucks on highways where opposite traffic is coming on high beam.. worth the pain though, pretty satisfying..

got the bike serviced (12k kms)..they washed it, tightened the chain, lubed it, cleaned air-fiter and thats it..somehow, for some reason it was much much more smoother...
also, changed the oil and filter myself today, using the motul 5100ss since past 3k kms, wonderful results, bike revs more freely, less heating, less engine noise, lasts long, less vibrations as compared to the yamalube ss..
the diy is surely worth a try, have got better results as compared to a mech. changing it for you..any questions are welcome..

was wondering, has anyone used the motul 300v 10w40??
after monday and tuesday, even the calendar says WTF!!
