Tibby I already did that and posted in other relevant threads. Just to get the useful info. Many R15 owners are using Simota air filters and there is no separate thread for Joeled R15s.Originally posted by tibby View Post

why cant you install a clutch lever by your own? its easy. dont think about towing it will affect your cowl assembly. try to take your bike on a mini truck to SVCOriginally posted by anas17in View PostHello friends. I broke my R15's clutch cable on saturday evening. I live about 7 kms from the service station. I want to know that how do i take my my bike there?? Can i tow my bike behind friend's bike? If yes, then how?? Also please tell me the probable reason of the breakage of the cable?
If anyone can share any other idea, it would be of great help.i dont think there is ready made projector assembly for the R15. you can sepereatly assemble the parts by buying it from Ebay!Originally posted by jigar2speed View PostIs there any ready made assembly with Projectors for R15, please send me PM if some one can help.No issues with it; pretty normal you can check with the other R15s. its due to the silicon made!Originally posted by karthikbenz View PostAny idea would be of great help for me :-(Regards,

friends, need help here...around a year back i have installed two projectors (35W each) on my R15..it was working well but few days back the battery started draining to NIL whenever i put on the lights...now the service guys are telling that it is because of the light set ups... the RR unit is chocked.
now what should i do?
a) remove the projectors and get back to stock lighting?
b) install normal halogen bulbs in the projectors
c) go for a new projector set up.
I REALLY NEED SUGGESTIONS FROM ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE INSTALLED PROJECTORS.NIHIL ULTRA

@ shrinathraoOriginally posted by shrinathrao View PostHi friends,
My bike has completed 12000 kms and i am on 3rd set of front disk pads, but still i am not able to get the bite which i had on the first set of brake pads. I had done a diesel wash all over the bike before replacing the brake pads and from that moment onwards i am somehow feeling a skeptical about the front brakes.
Is there anything else to check and restore the old braking ?
Secondly is there any way to determine whether the accelarator cable needs a change as till now its running smooth but svc center guy says i will have to replace it in 6th service.
Just check the Disc Plate for the amount of Lines on it. If its too much, compared to a New one then change em, you will get the Bite.

Where?? in the city.if in the city then it's decent. If on the highway then definitely not good, provided you didn't rip for the whole 396kms.Originally posted by free2rock_50 View Post11 Ltr of BP Petrol = 396 KM
is it right ? the bike giving good mileage ?
Mileage depends also on the external factors like riding style, tyre air pressure, chain (tight/lose), quality of fuel, how you maintain your bike and all.My Stable.....

give it time so that the brake pads get sufficiently rubbed againt the rotor and become effective enough. Bleed all the earlier brake fluid (not necessary if done a few hundred kms before).
See the owner's manual and replace the parts accordingly. though it's not given there (throttle cable replacement). Don't know how to determine whether it needs to be changed, if it's running fine then it's ok.

Just see the output of your battery after completely charging it. Is the battery getting charged when the bike is running?? Secondly I would advice you to remove the pilot lamps and get it replaced by LEDs or just remove the pilot lamps. I don't see the projectors a reason to choke the RR unit.Last edited by hellbreaker46; 10-12-2011, 09:02 PM.My Stable.....

i have installed the whole set a year back...but no issues...it was from the last week the problem has started. it has spoiled my RR unit and hence the battery is not getting charged. Moreover, no RR unit is available anywhere in Kolkata.Originally posted by hellbreaker46 View Post@ souvikb83

first check what hid u r running 35w or 55w as projector is not a thing related with battery drainage and if possible then replace your pilot lamp and tail lamp with led it will save quit good amt of power

Exhaust chatter
I'm getting a chirping sound from the exhaust when I let go of the throttle. Has anyone experienced something similar, and any ideas as to the cause? I'm holding on going to the service center as I'm awaiting a set of rear brake pads to arrive.
Also, there's an oil leakage from the under belly - a small bit of oil lies under the bike when I start the bike every morning. Its been happening for a month. Will this harm the engine if I wait till the brake pads arrive?
Thanks.

Visit the SVC immediately and get it checked... or else you may end up screwing up the engine real bad if the oil level is dangerously low..Originally posted by Rider One Five View PostAlso, there's an oil leakage from the under belly - a small bit of oil lies under the bike when I start the bike every morning. Reg:: the R15 Not Starting
I have a 2008 R15 done 7000Km only till now.
I was using the key to manually stop the engine on traffic lights and wherever required till a month back I started using the Red button to shut the engine.
Till date I have not faced any issue with the machine, it just got serviced on Sep 25th and was flying as ever till YESTERDAY!!
I parked my bike for 5 mins on side stand(dont have a main stand) and when I returned it just refused to start, I twisted the key to restart the electrical and used the Red engine switch to On the engine and tried pressing the Ignition for 3,4 secs with the accelerator but it just kept coughing and did not start. I was puzzled as everything seemed fine also the Battery is not weak at all though its not being changed from stock(Dec08) but it works just fine, usually it starts in 1,2sec of pressing the ignition button.
Then I placed it on 1st gear and brought the bike on lil momentum from my legs and then tried to start it, it started and ran without a issue. I parked the machine at home and returned to check once the engine cools down(2.5hrs later).. Same issue !!
Then I took a ride for 7 km and then switched it off to try again, it worked fine. but on trying 2nd time SAME ISSUE ! Alas I left it for the night at 1.30 AM.
Today morning at 7 AM I got up and checked and it started like before just a 1 sec on the Ignition and lil accelerator.
But yesterday Incident has troubled me a lot, I want to rely on the BIKE as always and want to make it work fine..
Any suggestions what could be the problem here? Please :-(

Could be a choked tank relief hole. Try this. Before starting, open the fuel tank, and then start the bike. if it does start, then you have a choked tank hole.
I faced this issue as well, but after leaving the bike for 10 mins, it started without a hitch. ( dint do the tank method )

Reg:: the R15 Not Starting
@Nitin - hmm as far as I can remember the needle points at around 1200 mark, will have to check if its 1200 or 1400 exactly. but yesterday I had already rode for around 15Km and then parked it for 10mins then rode for another Km may be and left if for 5mins THEN the ISSUE APPEARED. So the engine was relatively Hot.
Thanks
