      Hey thanx man..for the info...
You said nothin happened to ur bike's reflectors.. so does that mean u didnt use the headlights for long time..? Or is it even after prolonged use there wasn't any change in the reflectors?
Good too hear bout battery performance though...

He did not use it for a long time. Even I used 55/60 but not for long. Santoosh used the 55/60 for long night rides and his reflectors had already started to get dis-colored as they are rated only for 35W. So using 55/60 is not without its share of problems. No battery drain issues will be there though.

        • Yamaha Chain Lube

Applied yamaha Chain lube today. Didnt have center stand or paddock stand so I first tried lifting the bike using car's jack(placed it at the base of the frame) but the bike was not balancing and I was alone and there was no one to hold the bike. So I got another Jack and placed both the jacks below the footpegs and then lifted the bike. I have ordered a paddock stand and will be here in a few days so it will be easy in future.

I first cleaned the chain with Motul Chain Clean, tooth brush and a cloth. Broke the toothbrush(went into the sprockets twice) and ruined the cloth. After a lot of struggles I managed to remove that cra**y Motul Chain Lube and then applied the Yamaha Chain Lube.

It is white in colour and looking cool and goes well with my White Rim stripes. The white colour can be because I might have over applied the chain lube. Looks cool though.

In case you do get a sticker done, be sure to get it clear coated it by the painter mentioned above. They are both friends!

I used Motul Earlier. I didnt lube the small sprocket because I didnt have the right tool to open the cover.

Noise is still present. It comes from the small sprocket. I will have to clean and lube it I guess.

                  two 60/55w . 1 Night Breaker and 1 Silverstar.

My 2 cents , Buy a 60/55w , fix it on LHS and have the 35w bulb on the High beam RHS. Thats more than enuf if u are a city rider.
make sure u turn off the headlamps at every terrific signal :-P
else u ll drain up .

The R15 tyres are the anti slip paint tyres .. Thats so damn cool..
realised it on my last night ride from Chennai ..
                  same as M45.
u go over the paint on the highway lane markers and u dont slip .. thats wot it is ..

that part is a place where a lot of dirt gets accumulated... clean it and lube the center part of the sprocket - at the axle and also the sprocket teeth.

Yeah, realised this when I rode the RTR. I never really noticed the property of the R15 tires and took it for granted. I went over the white paint with some moisture on RTR, it started slipping and sliding. Only then I noticed it.

Excellent...anyone who can comment on the life of the tyre under normal usage?(I mean no burnouts&all)...Have not noticed any wear on mine, but have a feeling they may not have a very long life as they're soft compound tyres.

                          • Hey, I just bought a can of Motul chain clean and Motul chain lube. Is the chain lube bad?? Why?? Damn, did I waste the money? It cost me 880 bucks as a pack.

And which HID are you guys using? I am a lil bit confused. Do you guys have HIDs in both LHS and RHS headlamps? Are they the solenoid type or the twin filament type? Help plz....
                            You get the point?? :D

i think you have asked the question too early. people need to cross atleast 12000 kms to comment on that.

I am about to touch 7.5k kms and i think it will carry me to another 7.5k kms. But again its too early for me to comment on that. I do off road riding (thnks to bangy xbhpians for all g2gs hitting almost off road all the time), normal city riding and highway ridings too.

Santa whats the status at your side!

If it lasts upto 15K kms.its excellent I would say...my stock F2 rear tyre lasted for about 20K kms...but that was not a soft compound!
