      Thanks Mithun!

I am just trying to cover my 500 Kms till I get my 1st servicing done so that I can really rip the bike and see what exactly is R15. Can u believe I havnt touched the RPM of 6000 till now. I am taking care of the bike till Running-In period. I just cant wait. 11 days and I have hit 315 Kms. By next week I plan to hit 500 Kms at all cost.

      I envy Sagar_46 hitting 148!!

Check out the Mesh Summer Jacket from Cramster at Cramster Gear Co.: Stuff more than enough! - India's first premium bike luggage - Saddlebags, Tankbags and more...
It has the same 3 protectors as the Nero, but would be better for hot climatic conditions. Its cheaper by Rs.700 or so too!

Thanks R15Rocks. But I do not see many varieties here. PlanetDSG has more number of products but Damn! Its Expensive! I think I need to club my 2 salaries!

Thats a good piece of info Joel...

Guess you will have to head to the helmets discussion in the Universal threads link. All the info on helmets can be obtained from there.

I know, but within Planet DSG I think the only affordable ones (that too after saving up) would be the DSG manufactured products. Those&Cramster are more or less of the same price&variety. Alternatively, you can find the same DSG jackets at Castrol Bike Zone in KPHB. HydBiker will be able to guide you there.

                    • Uhhh... okay, sorry for cutting in.

After many negative posts, here's a nice post. My bike has done the 1st service on Monday, and besides a noisy chain everything is perfect (touchwood). Got the chain noise rectified today, it was because of erratic lube spread on the chain. Some parts were lubed while some parts were not. Actually the can ran out while the mech was lubing my bike's chain.

I also bought the Motul chain spray and Lube for 880 bucks. Was I robbed? Or is the price okay? Also going to get the service main stand (the temporary one). Now my bike is running perfect. Just hope it remains like this forever.

P.S.- someone was saying something about headlight adjustment. Its the easiest I've seen on any bike so far! There are two prominent screws that adjust the headlight focus for both reflectors. I think a picture was also posted here.....
                      You get the point?? :D

                        • I am upset reading the posts in this thread for the past two days. We had more posts in two days than the whole week before that.

I do very well understand that we have problems and need to discuss. But cribbing continuously won't help. Each of us who have problems and think it is genuine, must write to Yamaha. Before someone can point out at me, I too suffered my rear rim bent & crack. It needed a very bad pot hole edge at about 95kmph. After it was bent I rode for over 200 KMS to my destination without any problem. Yes, I do expect it to be better than that but it is not inferior considering the light weight. Also, for the Rs 3600 cost I spent towards this I got only Rs 2700 back from the insurance company!

When people post here about constructive stuff for discussions not many posts come up but for a problem everyone pops up. Guys, this is our forum and let us do constructive discussion also!

I was the one who said that. I very well know how to adjust it but the SS gust have no idea about it.

                            • Hi guys,
Got my third service done yesterday at 6000km at Chandigarh. Oil and Air Filter changed. Toped up with Yamalube and paid total 864 bucks. These SS guys refused to check the valve cleance and as usual they were out of chain clean and lube.

Why the Oil Filter mate, Yamaha Pro Service told me they are supposed to change it at 10,000kms after first service.

Not sure if the information provided was correct.. can anybody clarify please??
