@all:
The false neutral problem is very common during the run-in. I too experienced a lot of false neutrals during run-in, but it all just goes away as the bike grows! So is the case with rough gear shifts. So stop worrying about the transmission problems and focus on the run-in for now..the more you baby it when you have a problem,the better it'll turn out later. Try being gentle on the gears until the transmission beds-in properly.
@all:
My bike is suffering from oil leakage from left fork-tube. The oil seal is apparently kaput, and I need to get it done. Sadly,scarcity of parts!
One change I've noticed is that my bike drifts towards the right side when I gently leave the handle..is it cos of the left tube's leakage?Sunny.

2) Depends on your skills
2) No clue
The R15 is by no means a city commute bike... if you intend to ride in tight traffic or city conditions for a good 90% of the time then you might as well go for the RTR FI...
The bike (in its stock form) is sluggish below 6k RPM and this is the band where you will operate in typical city conditions....
PS: If you intend to ride it below 65 and in cities you might want to stick to the rtr fi and probably the balance amount would be bonus amount for fuel!!!Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

It works very well in traffic and also on highways. I have heard the radiator fan also switch on a few times. Sometimes, if you are riding in 1st gear in bumper-to-bumper traffic, you may notice a lot of heat emanating from the gaps in the fairing. Don't be scared, this happens with all the fully faired bikes. When you start moving though, it will cool down as coolant is supplied to the engine.Originally posted by ACE_HUNTER View PostHello Guys Like To Ask Few Questions Regarding R15,Already Discussed With Aparajith @ Passion Hunt Meet Chennai

Yes, once you are used to it. Initially it is tough. Apache also has a similar riding stance, but the footpegs are a bit forward&the handle is also shorter, giving it a better maneouvrability in traffic.2) Is It Manageble To Ride This In Tight Traffic ?
Yes, I am getting 43 consistently in city. Using Extra Premium since Day 1.3) About Mileage: If The Bike Is Kept Under Speed Of 60-65 kmph Does Return Mileage Of 45 kmpl ?Quench my thirst with gasoline!

For next service take your bike to pearl service center. Tell this problem, they will be able to solve it by cleaning something called pollution box. I'm not sure whether it is pollution box or air induction one, mechanic was referring it as pollution box....They will clean it and the problem will be solved. Thats what they did to my bike and the problem is solved...Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostYes! Do that! I believe every bike has some or the other defective parts in it, but its just whether how big an impact the part that turns out defective has, varies from bike to bike.
In my case, I have been experiencing silencer farts-no particular scenario in which it occurs, so can't say exactly. Sometimes I don't hear it for days&sometimes I heard it 2-3 times on a single ride! Now that is puzzling!
For those who are going to reply to this, please don't say impure petrol, I used only Extra Premium right from day one.

Thanks Jayan, from my 2nd Service onwards, I always go to Pearl&everyone there from MD to mechanics know me very well.Originally posted by jayan View PostFor next service take your bike to pearl service center. In fact, I just returned from there, but went with Vibhanshu coz his bike had a minor accident&the rear shock started making some funny noises.
Anyways, coming to my bike, I will surely enquire&get this done at my next service.
Edit: Jayan, thanks for the info. I spoke to Jahangir at Pearl over phone just now. It is the air induction box&I will surely get it cleaned at my next service.Last edited by Sarvajit; 04-09-2009, 04:32 PM.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

No problems whatsoever.Originally posted by ACE_HUNTER View Post1) How Is the Liquid Cooled Engine Working In Tight Traffic ?
It has enough power in lower revs to get through gaps but the real power lies in a very narrow range of 7-9k RPM. It is very much manageable in tight traffic once you get used to the riding position.Originally posted by ACE_HUNTER View Post2) Is It Manageble To Ride This In Tight Traffic ?
I find it very hard to ride in range of 60-65kmph(my range is >80kmph) though my bike still gives min 40kmpl every time.Originally posted by ACE_HUNTER View Post3) About Mileage: If The Bike Is Kept Under Speed Of 60-65 kmph Does Return Mileage Of 45 kmpl ?
By that time I think TVS would have launched the Menace which should be better than both of your current options.Originally posted by ACE_HUNTER View PostThe Above Questions For Me Purchasing R15,as i already said i am gonna buy RTR 160 FI Target ?
