Err... I read somewhere that most FI engines need a minimum of 1.x litres of fuel in the tank to run optimally....Originally posted by souvikb83 View Postits nothing like that of the p220...and that is why the fuel pump is given...to extract even the last drop of fuel from the tank...don't waorry about it...Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

@DriftKingNT: Thanks. Could you please let me know where it is available in Pune? I will get it next month. I won't buy the chain cleaner-I'll take it to the SC&ask them to do it, at regular intervals&also during service time, since they are using Motul here.
@satyenpoojary: You are right-with less fuel quantity the injectors may get affected. That is why the manual also recommends filling fuel as soon as the vehicle comes into reserve.
@pulsar_flame: Please stop parking your vehicle in the sunlight. If unavoidable, use a cover. Else, you can fight with the company for warranty claim, but even after they replace the respective parts, the problem may recur, as you will still be parking it in the sun-prevention is better than cure!
@darkknight: I also was parking it for the last 6 months in the direct sunlight at my office. Never had any problem of starting, but off late I was hearing the sound coming continuously, so I thought better to park in the shade&found a basement parking!Last edited by Sarvajit; 03-31-2009, 11:40 AM.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

next time when this happens, open the fuel lid and just shake the bike a little bit, then close the lid and try to start the bike,Originally posted by pulsar_flame View Post@all i tried all the things opening and closing the fuel lid but the prob cont ! does it do with anything with injector ? summer prob means ? all other R15 starts correctly ! what is the soloution do we have any because it happens every day when i keep it sunlight and i have no other go because no shade here ! in the eve after 4 when the sun goes this prob never occur...
how much fuel was in there when this happened?
for that matter, any bike whether it be a FI or carb requires good amount of petrol to a ease runOriginally posted by satyenpoojary View PostErr... I read somewhere that most FI engines need a minimum of 1.x litres of fuel in the tank to run optimally....

I had a feeling it would be the pump. However, I would still advise you not to park in the direct sunlight. Reasons other than the noise&vapor lock are:Originally posted by pulsar_flame View Post@all the problem has been found out ! yes it seems the fuel injector pump has worn out and it has to be replaced by the service people ! the part will be available in 2 days time and i will get changed by then!

Last night I could hear a sound while moving the bike in 1st gear. It happened only when I released the clutch but as soon as the clutch was fully released and the bike was in motion, the noise used to stop. It wasnt a noise really, more like a sound as if something is getting stuck while releasing the clutch. It came from the left side of the engine.
In the morning today, it was all gone.
Any ideas? or just a bad for the bike

What kind of sound was it? Was it the fuel pump sound or something else?Originally posted by vibhanshu View PostI would add, The hot seat burns the @ss off (its just March now).

No, It came from the left side of the engine, just beside the left footpeg. As if something was getting stuck while releasing the clutch. The sound was feeble though.Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostWhat kind of sound was it? Was it the fuel pump sound or something else?

Maybe the chain sprocket? I have to see it before I comment though. Whatever it was, if it stopped, its fine-maybe it just behaved a bit weird then!Originally posted by vibhanshu View PostNo, It came from the left side of the engine, just beside the left footpeg.
